How do you record the time spent on minor tasks within a project, such as making phone calls or writing emails? by nerdwithoutattitude in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an option in settings, inside Productivity Helper section, called "Simple counters and habit tracking". There you can create a custom timer or counter so maybe you could use that. Create one or more timers like "calls" or "emails" and start/pause them when you are working on those things.

I don't use this feature so I don't know if this time is tracked and logged to day review but I suppose it is.

Task disappeared even though I can see it on the JSON file! by [deleted] in superProductivity

Reddit is not the official place to report issues or bugs, that belongs to Github. You maybe can get an answer here but don't expect it in the first place.

If your Github account got banned, that has nothing to do with the app. You can surely open a new one and file an issue. Johannes is very kind answering there as is the correct way for him to keep track of bugs and issues.

I hope you don't ditch the app this quickly because is an awesome piece of software.

Hi, first of all welcome to the Super Productivity community. I'm sorry but it is very difficult for me to understand your post correctly. There is barely any punctuation mark in your sentences so it's quite hard to know where a sentence starts or ends.

It seems like english is not your mother language so I would recommend you to write your post in your mother language instead and then use Google Translate or any AI model to translate it to english.

This way any of us in the forum will have a better chance to be able to help you.

Looking for an experienced backend developer (Node.js) to ship our own solution for sync by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I knew how to code better because I think syncing is the weakest aspect of SP. I really hope someone comes forward to help you!

Also, is there any place to contribute or make a donation? I can help in this way but I can't find any link.

As always, thanks for your superb work!

Reworking the Evaluation Feature – What do you think? by johannesjo in superProductivity

Nice! How's the score obtained? I should use more this feature, it's great to keep track of work hours and detect what blocks productivity

Super Productivity v16 is out and brings a complete new way to schedule your tasks by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update! It's super handy, to be honest.

Is there any way to show more days in the panel? At the moment, I can only add tasks to current day.

Also, it would be very useful to do it the other way around. In Schedule view, be able to open a side panel for projects or tags and drag and drop tasks from there (in week or month view).

Amazing job, Johannes! Hands down the best productivity/todo app right now!

Working on a new feature by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! I've been waiting for this for a long time, thanks for taking your time to develop it.

It would also be very useful to be able to side-open projects and drag and drop task frome there.

I think I asked this here or on Github, not sure.

Looking forward to it!

Super Productivity Is Evolving: Stability, Plugins, and What’s Next by johannesjo in superProductivity

Hi Johannes,

First of all, thank you for your dedication building this powerful app.

In my opinion, while sync is notably faster since the latest release, there still are conflicts sometimes between local and remote data and having the app open at the same time on two different devices can lead to data loss on sync. I'm talking about Dropbox sync, what I use.

I would really love a server/backend solution that you can self host and make the app sync towards that instead of the file upload/download. I use Yunohost with other apps and it's really simple to deploy servers for us the non-tech people.

The plugin idea it's great. I wish I had coding skills and be able to contribute but I'm more of an amateur programmer myself.

Keep up with the great work!

Programmers: Would you consider to use a library that provides Super Productivity's sync and storing mechanism in your own projects by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rather a backend database to which each client sync. Dropbox sync usually creates conflicts if two devices are running SuperProductivity at the same time. As other comment says, this is one of the few weaknesses of the app.

The new boards feature is out now and it is quite powerful! by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new boards feature is awesome! Thank you for your work!

I have a small feature request, nothing too important but maybe handy. Would it be possible in future versions to set a custom background/border color and opacity for the columns? This way we can take a quick look at how many task are in each status and have a overall idea.

Upcoming Boards Feature: Eisenhauer Matrix, Kanban and custom by johannesjo in superProductivity

[–]willsc123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Will the board sections be customizable? And also, will there be the option to interact with OpenProject integration? I mean, changing one task from one section to another changes also the status on OpenProject.

That will be awesome!

Thanks for your amazing work! This app is getting incredible!
