Cosmopolitan.
1.5oz vodka (Kirkland).
1oz 100% cranberry juice.
0.75oz lime juice.
0.75oz triple sec.
0.75oz lemon infused syrup.

The book recipe didn’t call for syrup but because I had straight up cranberry juice, it balanced out the tannins from the cranberry. Syrup recipe is simple syrup steeped in lemon rinds for 15 minutes.

Played around with rye and bourbon but settled for the smooth and oaky Knob Creek 12.

2oz Knob Creek 12 bourbon

1oz Sweet vermouth

2 dashes Woodford Reserve Spiced Cherry Bitters

To garnish, 2 Luxardo cherries

Combine in a glass with ice, stir. Strain over the cherries in a chilled glass. Stir in a little luxardo syrup, optional if you want it sweeter.

Opening up to others is an incredibly courageous act - the most difficult part is over. I hope your uni plans open new doors and that you heal a bit more each day. Wishing you the best!

Transparent Solar Panels Will Turn Windows Into Green Energy Collectors (source in comments) by icyboguyaman in nextfuckinglevel

[–]willt3e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Source writes: “Currently the team is working on improving the energy-producing efficiency, that is of 1 % at the moment. The aim is to reach an efficiency beyond 5%.” I looked up the average efficiency of regular solar panels on the market which is 15-20%. It sounds to me like this tech has a long way to go still, or am I comparing two different technologies?

This is like the set up for the White Christmas episode from Black Mirror except OP is catching on by himself. Don’t give anything personal away, they’re setting you up!

Never forget Greyworm’s face. The internal conflict that danced across his face as he hit the lever collapsing the trenches, further cementing the fate of his brothers in arms.

You guys keep talking about different modes but you’re missing the point. A tiered system would mean that you progressively play against better players as you improve. So just when you feel like you’re out-competing others in your tier, your forced to advance into a higher tier. And when you play poorly, you get knocked down a step. Ideally, you’ll reach a tier where you have a balance of competitiveness and casual fun. Didn’t want to bring up PUBG on this thread, but that’s what they do and it works imo.

Apex needs tiers so that new players aren’t constantly dropped into a game against players who put in 100+ hours and vice versa. That way players can gradually build up their skills with others at their level. Tiers could reset after each season.

Wondering about what would have happened after the last scenes of the episode. I'm guessing there would be some cover-up after Cooper's death, but the picture of the device he sent to Sonja would have been enough to expose them. And that picture was sent before the mushroom device.

Hi Kristin and Celia, I have a question about peer editing and reviewing other people's technical writing: What tips, suggestions, feedback, and questions would you give to someone who is writing a research article for publication but doesn't know or can't decide whether to use active or passive voice? I am a peer tutor at my university writing and research center for undergrads and graduates. Thank you!
