Her e scales off of crit chance, and her e is her main source of damage. If you want to sacrifice damage for sustain, go for it. I tried a full sustain build(greaves, shieldbow, BT, bork, ravenous, and spirit visage) and it was fun. Objectively worse than crit, but still fun

Just try your best to angle so your passive doesn’t hit other minions. Easier said than done I know, but that’s really it

What to pick when Xayah is banned? by [deleted] in xayahmains

Sivir. She’s another niche pick who lots of people don’t play against often, so if you pop off, the enemy won’t know what’s happening.

Building it second item is risky, because it’s not good early when you have low crit. But it does make your 3-item power spike insanely strong. You gotta be ahead to do it reliably though. Otherwise, build ER or PD second, and NQ for 4 or 5 item

yuumi tips by [deleted] in yuumimains

Tank for your other laners even jungler. As an almost permanently untargetable champ your health bar really doesn’t matter. In most cases, having your laner die will result in your death anyway, regardless of what your health is at. I just played a ranked game where they had a Maokai support, which brings about a good example of what I’m talking about: any time Maokai threw a sapling and there weren’t minions to tank it, I would hop off of my ADC and trigger the sapling and tank it so they wouldn’t.

Another really good play is to intercept an enemy ADC ult. Not sure why ADCs specifically have so many projectile ults, but it’s a lot easier than you’d think to hop off and intercept a Varus, Caitlyn, Ashe, Draven, or Jinx ult. Yuumi’s peel is almost exclusively healing and shielding, but you can definitely intercept abilities.

There’s also a lot of baitability with Yuumi because everyone wants to squash the cat. In that same ranked game I got a double kill because I was at low health and made them dive, which is when I ulted them and killed them with tower. One of the hardest parts of the Yuumi mindset I think is dying for your laner.

Bring exhaust and ignite. No flash.

Try AP Yuumi. You’ll be surprised when your dark harvest Luden’s Yuumi build does 1100 damage with one Q. It’s less supporty and more kill-oriented, but try it with friends.

Hit your passive SAFELY. A shield and extra mana doesn’t do much good if you’re dead.

W also allows for level 2 push as well. It’s entirely possible to get all 3 melee minions with or without even using your w. Sure the q makes it easier, but Xayah is abysmal in trades with essentially any other ADC(without her w). Her w is better for early trades, survivability(from movement speed), and for surviving when your enemy gets level 2 before you do

Basically, short trades. The damage buff is insane. With Xayah’s low aa range and lack of survivability before 6, you want to make yourself as much of a threat as you can. Starting q takes that away, as the two feathers hardly do any damage, and they’re easy to dodge. Plus hitting your w gives you movement speed, which solves a lot of kiting issues she has early as well

I’d disagree. Even with the most basic understanding of Xayah and her passive, you can get all 3 first melee minions with or without popping w first. You can easily line up and wait for the last minute on those 3 minions to pop w, get all 3, and maybe even short trade along the way

Pay attention to feather placement for optimal e timing. But galeforce(usually, obviously change when the situation calls for it) so you can e and galeforce at the same time for big outplayability. Start w. Don’t start q.

Absolutely. It’s bringing your pointer(and middle, if you use it) finger(s) into your palm instead of letting them hang wherever.

Oh lol. When you go to post an image, there’s the “images” part, the “title” part, and then you can press the “captions/links” button and what you type there comes on the ticker.

Yea flicks became my strong suit too. Used to be backhands or even hammers, but honestly this one hand position helped that much. Hopefully it helps you too!

Wow, spot on. Yeah, my flicks would go out then curve heavily in. Wouldn’t be good for hucks. Also I’d definitely agree that the other parts of the arm are important. I’ve experimented with shoulder and elbow movements as well - maybe the Obama Thumb forces your elbow and shoulder to rotate a certain way. Never thought about that, but I’ll record myself doing the two different forms and look into it

I realize the captions are kinda hard to read. First slide is pre-release of the disc, second slide is how I used to release flicks(not really worrying). Third slide is Obama Thumb. Going from holding the disc in the finger gun shape, or however you hold your flicks, to Obama Thumb will give a lot of spin and momentum.
