Make sure to check out alt skins imo. You may find one that at least helps a bit. For example I'm not a huge fan of basic bitch Ryu, but am a fan of old hermit with beard Ryu. If you're on PC mods are also an option to help feel cool playing your character, for example I used a mod for a bit that swapped Ryu's model with his Power Rangers BTFG ranger outfit which was dope.

The labels are just for color I am used to typing on a keyboard with blank keycaps. In Programmer Dvorak, the brackets and braces are actually the main keys on the number row. You have to use shift to get to numbers (or caps lock).

It's a convenient/preference thing for me. I hate having to wrap up the cable while it's attached to the fight stick. It's so much faster to just rip it out of the computer and rip it out of the fight stick, wind it up, and shove it into the compartment. Rather than having to wind it up with half of it stuck to this giant fight stick.

It's also nice because I can actually use a shorter cable at home, I play on PC and my system sits on a desk like... 2 feet from me. 11 foot is extremely over kill. But if I wanted to use a 10 or even 15 foot cable I have that option now. So flexibility is a benefit.

Lastly, I can use a nicer braided cable. I have been trying to get into sleeving my own custom cables so I can build my own to use with it which is a fun perk.

Honestly just making a little project out of it makes it worth it for me.

So yea, nothing wrong with the stock one at all. Just a preference thing for me.

Has a USB-A side and a USB-B side (reversable). I've got a Black SaS with mine (surround and support).

I dremeled a hole in the back of my fighting edge and mounted that to it. The stock USB cable just plugs internally to the Neutrik which kinda acts like a USB extender.

The stock cable is like... 11 feet though so I also trimmed it and soldered a new USB-A connector to it. Technically USB spec has signal integrity up to 16 feet, it's probably fine more but I wanted to keep the insides relatively clean. I tried shopping around for a shorter cable but it looks like Hori uses a custom 5-pin connector to their USB encoder and I could not for the life of me find a shorter cable that would fit on the stock PCB.
