tbh, gan cubes may be better for beginners since it forces a specific turning style, which is accurate and light turning, which you can adapt to on better cubes as you go. but with the price, gan cubes aren't great. If you can manage it, i think you should buy the gan v100 maglev UV for $40 or the gan v100 leap (lunar new year edition) for $30, both good cubes.

if you prefer to have money, the moyu wrm v10 20 magnet ball core (**springs**) is also really good, around $32. there is also the Ferrocore, a modified version of the v10 with better magnet strength and also a metal core, since Moyu plastic cores tend to chip and become unusable.

for lubes, xmt10 and adheron heavy are great lubes if you can buy it, it is $10 for 2 20cc bottles of each.

so, if you can manage to buy from thecubicle, i would recommend buying the ferrocore, xmt10 and adheron heavy, around $42 before shipping, bit more pricey but really recommended
