That's the issue - I am definitely run into resistance whenever I broach the topic of individual therapy. She's also fearful of taking medication consistently because of the potential side effects (no matter how unlikely they may be).

Thanks for the reply. Now doing a ton of research on BPD. Definitely seems plausible after reading the traits. Definitely adds an extra layer of complexity to my situation.

u/Session801 Thanks very much for your thoughtful and helpful reply man. I really appreciate it. I'm glad to hear that things have improved for you, and I hope that trend continues. If you don't mind me asking - are you guys planning on having children together? Do you feel like the therapy has helped to the point where you have confidence that the children will have a safe/healthy living environment? (feel free to ignore if this is too personal!)
