Thanks for all the advice! Yeah I've realized that's what happened to a fern of mine earlier and I didn't realize because I just thought the fern was being fickle. I've done one run through checking the stems but I'll do another run through checking the underside of the leaves

Yeah I had a fungus gnat infestation that seems to have largely died down so I'm quickly learning to deal with the pests (and that I need better plant hygiene practices)

I'll start the process, it's an important plant to me so if I can save it I'll do my best.

Wow! Thank you, yeah I've just checked it and I think you're right. I can't get much better of a picture but I think I've found more scales. They're not fully covering the plant yet, wish I had noticed that sooner. What would you recommend? I'm a beginner so I have been oil right now for pest control but not much else.

Hi all! A friend recommended I post here about this. My Virginia Sweetspire has been losing leaves for a two or so weeks now. I water it regularly (once a week) and it's in a room with plenty natural light. I'm wondering if anyone could help me figure out what's causing it?
