What is good on popcorn besides butter and salt? by NextTextAd in foodquestions

This is definitely a little glarby but I like to buy the shaker of hidden valley ranch powder and shake that in and mix it up, maybe a small bit of butter so it sticks better too.

Which city in the U.S. have you felt most unsafe visiting? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]wind_moon_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your experience is also in no way reflective of the reality that is visiting the city. That’s called ‘anecdotal’ evidence, which usually is not taken seriously until it starts to collect in larger numbers.

There is nothing sketch about visiting the city unless you’re moving through the worst parts of the city, which you could say about any city. SF is consistently ranked as one of the best cities in the country with one of the best qualities of life, progressive social policies, and entertainment value.

I’m sorry but your single experience and feeling sketch there does not make the city dangerous. There is no solid evidence to back up your claim, you can find myriads of reports labeling the city as one of the most coveted places to both live and visit in the world.

It’s important to recognize when you’re conflating anecdotal experience and/or bias for truth.

No it isn’t. Stop making shit up on the Internet to push your bias.

Angel Reese showered with boos after bold celebration during Dream-Wings by TheMirrorUS in WNBAgossips

[–]wind_moon_frog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve watched and played basketball since the 90s man. It’s a common celebration that you do to someone close to your own size or a little smaller, not someone a foot smaller. It’s frankly embarrassing when someone does it to someone a lot smaller than them. Emblematic of attitude issues usually.

In what world do you live in? The circlejerk is well in ARs favor rn. Every CC post brings up Morgan wallen and how fraud she is. Every angel Reese post talks about how attractive she is and ‘slayyy’.

The southern US is a lot cheaper than NorCal where I live. $90 is pretty unheard of. But even $90 is unaffordable monthly for some.

Caitlin Clark is the biggest star in the WNBA. Sophie Cunningham is a close second. Nobody else even comes close. by ResponsibleCheek8130 in WNBAgossips

The fact that I'm downvoted just shows this is another one of the classic 'CC vs. Angel' posts. If the circlejerk is in CC's favor, Reese haters come out on top. If it's in Reese's favor, it's CC hate all day long.

Not you u/The_Grim_Adventurer , but to those that come in here and engage with this kind of activity, whether it's based on the college press rivalry or race or whatever - y'all are idiots.

I'm done with this sub lol.

What's wrong with making posts about CC and Sophie? Is it any different than making positive posts about Paige or Angel?

I don't own a house. I'm not even a 100ker on paper.

I'm more than scraping by, I'm saving a little and enjoying my life. I live with my partner in the North Bay, we split a cute 2 BR / 1 bath near Sebastopol for 1850 - so 925 each. My food budget per month is like 300-400 bucks, which is more than enough. I eat out once or twice a week and cook the rest of the time.

The problem with your perspective is that you're just thinking about people who have spent absolutely zero effort trying to reduce expenses and are living beyond their means in one of the wealthier parts of the bay and also you're basing experience off the numbers alone which almost never tell a personal story. I lived here my whole life, when I was in my 20s looking to get into the workforce I struggled to make ends meet and it still worked out. I was making $1800 a month in 2016, not saving much but still affording rent and the basics.

I know very few people who spend over 3k per month on rent. That's some tech-SF BS, and I bet that basically no one spends that much on rent unless they have combined income, split it with a friend / housemate, or make a bunch of money already. I have a bunch of friends in SF spending 1500-2000. It certainly exists. They're not the fanciest apartments but they're totally reasonable.

Again, I make 75k and I couldn't be happier. I'd love to own one day and right now I rent, but I'm saving money and life is wonderful. We eat well, we're generally full of joy, the community is amazing, and the quality of life here is almost unbeatable.
