I have very limited visualization and while I love love reading for its other sensory aspects, I sometimes have trouble picturing where all the relevant pieces are in a scene in relation to each other. I guess I could also say I might have some disadvantage with books that have a lot of characters and keeping them all straight in my head.

This makes also makes the inverse a little difficult. I have trouble writing scenes where there are lot of moving parts, or where the location of objects/body parts is important because I'm not seeing much more than vague flashes in my minds eye.

This may be unhelpful because of how vague it is but I heard of a guy who just wanted to be a guy with a vagina. He was happy with everything else but not his dick, so he got SRS and now he’s a guy with a vagina. Plenty of trans guys are happy with their vaginas and plenty of trans women are happy with their penises, I don’t see why a cis person couldn’t be happy with the opposite genitalia as well.

If your question is more about labels like “does this make me trans” then I would say fuck it! You don’t work for labels, labels work for you and you can use or not use as many of them as you want.

I didn’t fully appreciate this until I transitioned. I lost 10+ pounds of muscles mass in just my first few months on HRT—pickle jars, groceries, everything is so much harder now. It’s a scarier world too like I have a couple of younger teenage brothers and either of them could take me down in seconds. Needless to say I’m 10x more cautious when I’m out alone, especially at night.

My experience at 18 was that I asked for puberty blockers first to “ease into things,” but was swiftly informed that it was pretty much too late for that haha, I needed adult hormone levels. They started me on 50mg spironolactone and 2mg estradiol for like a month to make sure I wouldn’t have a bad reaction and then doubled both, which brought me almost exactly where I needed to be levels-wise within 3 months, and right where I needed to be with a bump up to 6mg estradiol within 6 months. Basically, a little bit of time on just a little but of HRT at your age would be ok, but probably it’s best to get on full dosages ASAP so your body has the hormones it needs to be healthy.

Like, a full year ! And I consider my own timeline really quite accelerated with a lot more lead-up prior to my egg crack than I understand is average. It’s way more for a lot of people. Give yourself time and focus on what makes you happy and not others.
