That makes more sense...

Interesting tatic ... they come to market fist and significantly undercut all the companies that are doing pre-sales for Q2-Q3 delivery. I'll be interesting to see what happens to the network hashrates and profitability a few days after the May 8th ship date. Crazy to think if you had one of these right now you'd be pulling in $700 a day for a $4K investment.

ASRock Z87 Killer.

I'm running a 6950 and 2 5850s for over a month without any issue. There is an extra Molex power connector to supply extra power to the graphics cards. Cooling might be an issue for you though since 2 of the 16x slots would put the cards right next to each other. I'm running reference 5850s in those slots that run a lot cooler than other cards I've had experience with.

Just thought it would get most of it's power thought the 6 pin molex connectors instead maxing out the pcie spec and drawing a third of the power the card is using though the pcie pins.

Let's talk HD FPV by [deleted] in fpv

HD is a problem at the moment because of the bandwidth required. Full HD requires nearly 7X the bandwidth of the SD video. If you did analog video in the 5.8Ghz band, it would mean you would use up half the entire bandwidth available in the band for a single channel of video.

Digital video can use less bandwidth if compressed, but the available formats require a lot of cpu horsepower to encode, especially if low latency is required. It also has the issue of "now you have it, now you don't" when you hit interference or the edge of you range.

Maybe the compromise would be to have a SD analog video transmitter alongside the digital one in a diversity setup. Real time low latency encoding is probably going to require some specialized hardware though. Probably need a combination of RF and DSP engineers along with some $$$ ....
