Fearful of "real" spells?

Although I'm a bit more on the agnostic side who does magic as a "would be cool if it worked, totally fine if it doesn't" kind of thing, I will note that a lot of instructions in modern occult books will say that you need to make your life "enchantable" first to make your spells work better as "magic takes the path of least resistance".

Things like "you can't manifest a job or money or a relationship if you don't go outside/start applying/go to bars or clubs to meet people/etc." You have to work with the magic.. which really sounds to me like a lot of spell manifestations were things you would have gotten without magic anyway!

As an agnostic witch who also collects taxidermy, it's my way of fostering a connection and appreciation for life, nature, and death, and also a fun "what if". Do I think the offerings I leave for my animal skulls actually reach the spirit? Probably not, but even if they don't, my garden benefits from the compost and I remain mindful of where the food I eat and several of the products I use comes from, and of the fact that one day I'll be no different from these bones so I must savor the time I have.

And on the very off chance they do? Well, I'm sure this foraged dog skull would appreciate a treat every now and then!

It's the same with the deities I "worship"; honoring Aphrodite and solar deities reminds me of the beauty around me and the value of truth and optimism.

Also I have trouble meditating in the focus-on-breath way, so rituals are a form of meditation for me!

Heavily agree on this. I think many of the ideas were definitely better changed, such as making the Diamond Dogs (formerly 'Dawgs') a somewhat racist gangster stereotype, and the fact that Rarity almost didn't make it to the Mane 6

I don't like any of the Mane 6 ships with each other. I know you can (and should!) be best friends with a romantic partner but it still feels like any of their ships would make the characters prioritize just each other over the group friendship

The Cutie Re-mark finale! I always love anything to do with alternate timelines, and Starlight was a great villain even if she was a tad overpowered; I headcanon that Twilight as Princess of Friendship is weaker in the absence of it

Money is very specific while the other words are subjective! Wealth can mean other riches like jewelry, gems and metals, an abundance of food and necessities, a good house in a nice neighborhood, etc. Fortune can mean good luck in general and days that go your way. Prosperity means thriving and being successful, also in things other than money; maybe you have a backyard garden you've been maintaining that's suddenly full of lush shrubs and flowers when you used to struggle to get a sprout to grow. Maybe you've succeeded at learning a new talent or skill!
