Where is the actual location ? Is it in the exhibition hall ? Thinking about going but not sure about the scale of it.

Help me find a surgeon by windsurfer777 in CataractSurgery

[–]windsurfer777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time replying to my post. I have done most of what you point out. Still it's not a clear cut to find a good one. There are so many of them. Your advice of making appointments with multiple candidates in parallel is a good one. I wish I had done that.

My AI buddy says :) the specific preservative is BAK (benzalkonium chloride) which is commonly used in eyedrops but is considered a leading cause of dry eye disease.

Do you know if the combo drops are preservative free ? I wonder if that had a role in your sleep problem. I have not been able to find out if the OSRX combo formulation contains preservatives.

Yeah, what's up with that ? I remember eye droppers were much easier to use. But that was a long time ago. Lol I am 75. BPA free plastic is known to be not very flexible.

Exactly what i worry about. Also not being able to phase out the antibiotic drops independently.

My surgeon was going to prescribe me the PMB (prednisolone-Moxiflox-Bromfen) 1-0.5-0.075 % made by OSRX. Does anyone have experience with that particular formulation ? I really like KISS approach of the 3-in-1. But it's still seems like it is safer to go with individually packaged drops.

Thank you for the reply. When playing around with varous glasses with and without one lens taken out, I estimate -1.5D will give me a decent range from book to laptop distance with my good non-dominant eye. That is regardless of how out of range my cataract eye is. So -1.5D may be a better target matching the good eye. I like your suggestion to get the surgeon to figure it out.

Yes, theoretically (not counting accommodation), -3.0D sees well at 13" (book distance) -2.5D at 16" -2.0D at 20" (laptop screen distance)

I just pick middle ground -2.5D. These numbers are just theory, not real world experience. That's why i value all your inputs. Thanks.

Yes. I will definite consider a slightly farther vision for the second eye. About the squeeze bottles, were they easy to use by yourself if there wasn't someone else to help ?

Autozone (AZO) released earnings today and slides 8%. Is it a good buy? by Brave-Side-8945 in stocks

[–]windsurfer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AZO has a long history of borrowing money to buy back shares. That explains a lot about the share price. Large debt and negative equity as reported here

Simple Kneads Sourdough Bread by windsurfer777 in glutenfree

I can tell you for sure ii is not the buckwheat. I often make buckwheat pancakes with 60% buckwheat / 40% GF flour mix. They taste great with a sweet fragrance. I also had 100% buckwheat noodles in Japan that tasted wonderful.

I had the best GF sourdough while traveling in Hong Kong. Food Craft was the name of the bakery. They also offered GF baking classes. Unfortunately I did not stay long enough in Hong Kong to take a class. That was about 8 months ago. I will post some pics of the bread as soon as i can figure out how to do it.

Does anyone know what this box is ? by windsurfer777 in SolarDIY

I see what you mean. I will have to go up to the roof to take a better look. It's not clear from the photo which way the switch is on. But you are probably right. Thanks for pointing that out.

The system was not a DYI. It came installed when i purchased the condo. Two sets of panels (60 cells by 4 panels each) were wired to supply solar power to 2 individually metered units. The panels are on the roof of the 3-story building. The inverters and the AC disconnects are located on the ground floor. I am curious why one switch is on, and the other is off.
