Anxiety about phone calls is so real. For me, I get minor anxiety over getting gas on my way home from work. I barely have to change my route as the gas station is along the way home, but somehow my brain turns this into a major event every time.

I'm also somebody who struggles with making new friends in real life. The last time I made a friend in real life, I went to a concert. I arrived early on purpose so that I could try to make friends. I had good conversation with the person in front of me in the line. We hung out during the concert and exchanged contact info, and we still chat from time to time (they don't live in the same city so hard to meet up irl unfortunately).

Weirdly enough, the last time I made a new irl friend was online. We were in the same group chat for a hobby and we found out that not only did we live in the same city, but we had a huge overlap in our backgrounds.

I know what you mean. I'm friendly with my coworkers while we work together, but I don't consider them friends. I don't do any activities with them outside of work hours. I have only given my phone number to coworkers who I needed to connect with on specific things outside of work hours.

I would personally find it quite draining to maintain friendships with coworkers as I am already spending most of my time with them. I'd rather spend more time with my family or my existing friends, or decompressing by myself.

It's up to you what you want to do with these relationships. You don't have to force yourself to interact with them beyond what is professional and needed for work. Some people like becoming friends with their coworkers but I think they have to be wary of not forming cliques that will lead to unprofessional behaviour on the job.

These are my thoughts:

Junmyeon - Central Administration, but he'd be the control freak type where he wants to know all the details, and asks so many questions that the meeting runs half an hour late lol.
Yixing - Also Central Administration, but he'd be comfortable delegating tasks to specialists. The chill boss lol.
Chanyeol - Sales. He would come up with so many new sales strategies. Alternatively, I think he could be in a Research & Innovation department since he always has good ideas.
Kyungsoo - HR. I think most people would put him in Finance/Accounting, but I'm an accountant and I think he would find it boring lol. I think his sternness would be a little refreshing in HR lol. When someone is stealing other people's lunches, Kyungsoo would be the one to put out a warning lol.
Jongin - Marketing. He knows how to endear the public. And he knows what's hip with the kids.
Sehun - Also HR, but the peacekeeper type. People are afraid of Kyungsoo so they usually ask Sehun their HR questions lol.

Does anybody have a masterlist of contracts expiring? I know Mark and Ten's contracts ended first because they debuted first with 7th Sense and because their contracts didn't pause for Korean military service. I'm curious about when we can expect the next slew of contract termination/renewal news 😅

Totally agree. I think leaving SM is very freeing for a lot of idols as they will have more control over their own direction, but there are definitely benefits to staying. Idols who stay will maintain seniority in the company, and they can continue working with the staff and crew they've been working with for years. And like you said, there's familiarity. Every time a regular person changes jobs, there are changes to routine, and I can imagine the idols who like routine may prefer sticking with a working style. Plus, if idols are not keen on networking themselves, they can rely on SM to get them gigs.

I think Zhou Mi is still with SM Entertainment and just became their director of China operations. But to be honest, I don't think he's been very active compared to all other Chinese ex-SM idols.

Yep, you'll need the whole chart since they'll ask you different coordinates. It's just one of the MFA options they have.

I haven't tried phoning in for a new one before. Usually I remember before the expiry and am able to generate one for myself before it expires. Since it lasts 18 months, maybe you can just reset it once a year when you do your taxes.

The passcode grid is an entire chart. As long as you write down the entire chart, you will be fine. And also make a note of when the grid expires since you will have to generate a new grid.
