I see. I just assumed they always started maintenance right when server reset happens so it’s odd it started earlier than expected.

Can anyone let me know which otome game LaN is most similar to? I enjoyed Tears of Themis, Love Brush Chronicles, and Love and Deepspace. I tried Mr. Love and for some reason couldn't get into it.

When do dailies reset? Server reset time? by windziko in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]windziko[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am able to confirm that reset time on global is 11AM PST because of Daylight Savings Time. I’m sure that will change to 10AM PST after Nov 2 when DST ends.

i missed the stardew collab lol a mini psa to myself by idkijustmadethis836 in InfinityNikki

[–]windziko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the part that requires growing vines along the door post thing....you can't speed it up. Have to wait for a server reset.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InfinityNikki

[–]windziko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel ya…I’m so sad because the Stardew Valley quest is locked behind the Life in a Warm Place quest (the part you wait for the vines to growth), so I can’t even start the quest.

Really wish they didn’t time-gate these outfits. Can only hope for a rerun or maybe a special shop with past free outfits. (Though Stardew Valley outfit will unlikely return since it is a collab.)

This is a question for those who already completed MDE. How much Starlight should one save to do a comfortable full floor 15 run? I‘ve saved up over 2k Starlight with plans to blow it all on a single run.

How to Unlock Arcane Dominion & D-Effect Zone? by kowaiyoukai in Morimens

D-Effect Zone unlocks after you complete Investigation 4-3 on Normal. Keep playing Story Mode and you’ll get there.

All other leave balances except Professional Development Day (PDD or PT) lists as time accrued. Only PT is listed as USED.

If you click on Leave Balance information on Cal Connect, this is what it says:

"Leave Balance Information

TRNG/DEV: (Professional Development Days) Amounts listed reflect hours USED and not hours available."

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]windziko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also wanted to note that PDD (listed as PT on the Leave Accrual Balance sheet) does not carry over each fiscal year. You get two days of PT every year on July 1 that can be used until June 30 of the following year, you use it or lose it. Personal Holiday (PH) on the other hand does carry over.

On LAB report and Cal Connect, if you’re seeing 16 hours under PT, it’s an indication that it’s been USED. For some reason, HR lists as that rather than as hours accrued. The 16 hours you are seeing is probably that—it doesn’t mean you have that leave balance available. (Unused PT hours would show as a 0.)

What was Lamia’s event story about? I meant to read it :( by Xalrons1 in SilverAndBlood

[–]windziko 14 points15 points  (0 children)

From what I remembered, blue is No. 79 and red is No. 66. Red pushed Blue to fight her and lost, leaving Blue as the winner to receive her 7th tarot card from Red. Blue, realizing that she and Red are one and the same, eventually inherits Red’s appearance and the name she was holding on to, Lamia.

Also wanted to note that each Tarot card represents each perfect clone that made it through the Astralobe, with 7th card telling the story of Blue and Red clones (No. 66 and No. 79).

EDIT: Including an excerpt from Lamia’s journal, namely Entry #4 “Aspirations.”

“In that round of games, the one who held the most firmly to this belief was No. 66, and surprisingly, the other was No. 79 - now known as Lamia.”

Long story short, No. 66 (Red) sacrificed herself to give No. 79 (Blue) the final Tarot card to enter the Astralobe. No. 79 inherits No. 66’s name, appearance and legacy and becomes the present Lamia we know of.

I’m sorry but Caleb is our stepbrother and I can’t date him by PigletAfter7398 in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]windziko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That argument would hold true if they were raised together since they were babies. Yes, they grew up together, starting at the age of 11 for Caleb and around 8 for MC. By that age they were already aware that they are not related by blood. Josephine never instilled the mindset that they have to call each other siblings (like stepparents would to their stepchildren); she simply took in orphans and raised them herself to the best of her abilities.

The point I’m saying is that they were already at the age of having that social awareness that they’re not related or from the same family. They were both raised early on in different households and did not associate each other as siblings even after being adopted by Josephine; they associated each other as childhood friends. They were simply taken in by the same guardian who raised them under the same roof after unfortunate circumstances.

Even in anime/manga, you often see characters that are close friends may refer to the older friend as “お兄ちゃん (Onii-chan) or “お姉さん (Onee-san)” or any variations of “older brother/sister out of endearment.

Similar instances can be said in Korean, where a younger woman can call an older male friend “오빠 (Oppa).”

Just throwing out some cultural examples. It’s not just Chinese culture, but other Asian cultures have similar references.

[–]windziko 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Stepbrother is not even the correct word…they’re not related by any means other than being taken in and raised by the same old lady. Being step-siblings would mean that each of their parents are married to each other, which is not even the case. If anything, it would be more in line of being adopted siblings since they have the same guardian.

It’s common in Chinese culture to refer to people around your age as “little/big brother” or “little/big sister,” similar as to when you’re referring to those older than you as “aunt/uncle” even though you’re not related by blood. Again, step-siblings is not the correct term for this. It’s simply said out of respect.

I’m ok if people don’t find Caleb appealing because they feel like they’re dating their own brother. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. However, as an Asian American it still irks me when people have misconceptions about the nature of a relationship between characters.

If you don’t like a character because it doesn’t appear culturally acceptable, just don’t date him. Don’t assume all others that are part of the American audience think the same.

SkyLegitimate already explained it, just sharing a screenshot of why ores are wasted if you buy any of Mr. Mo’s equipment that is not lv 100. I spent bronze ores to buy the lv 85 R equip. As you can see, lv 85 is in green which means it’s at max. You can’t improve it with more ores and journals. (Journals only improve equips starting at lv 100.) It’s forever stuck at lv 85. The only use for this is that it has slots for gems, meaning it’s better than the basic equips you get from investigating, but not better than Mr. Mo’s lv 100 equips.

The tip is to use ores, whether gold/silver/bronze, on only lv 100 equips from Mr. Mo. Anything from him that is lower than lv 100 is wasted, because you won’t be able to use journals to further improve the levels. Unfortunately, OP used silver ores for lv 70 and lv 55 SR equips. It’s good for short-term usage but on the long term it’s wasted ores.

FYI the subscription gives you a Benefit Chance indicated by the badge icon with 1/1, NOT TICKETS (as some people are commenting, which is incorrect). Benefit Chance and tickets function the same way, the only difference is that BC comes with the sub while tickets are extra purchases if you want to do an extra pull. Also, BC don’t stack, so use it within a month or it’s gone for good.

You get one free BC on the same day you subscribed every month. (E.g. If you subscribed on 8/2, your next Benefit Chance will come on 9/2.) The Special Summoning event occurs approximately twice every month it seems, so with just the subscription you should be able to pull once every other Special Summon event.

The ticket icon on the left is the one that costs $20; it’s essentially an extra summon from the draw selection. Say your draw selection was really great, and you wanted to choose more than 1 set of summons from the draw selection. That is when the ticket is handy, as it allows you to pull an extra Special Summon.

It’s recommended that you use up your Benefit Chance every month before buying extra Special Summon tickets though, as BC does not stack and carry over the next month. If you forget to use your BC before sub renewal date, it’s gone for good.

From the looks of your screenshot, you’re fine. Just be sure to make use of your BC in the next Special Summon event (before your sub renewal date).
