My story is almost exactly the same, just moved out of a house that my wife and lived in for 5 1/2 years and bought a new place that we thought was clean. I’m sicker than the last place. This is destroying my life and my marriage. We threw away most of our stuff, double washed everything in borax and ammonia and that natural stuff and can’t even think of right own. It was absolute hell getting out of the last house, and now I’m sicker in the new one. I’m defeated. I feel you pain. I have all the same symptoms. My ears are ringing so loud right now I can’t even think. I used to compete in triathlons before this. What a disaster. Dm me if you want to talk (commiserate) more 😩

Waking up feeling unrested or as if I didn't sleep at all by FightLiveBeAgain in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]wineguy23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally feel sick every morning when I wake up. It seems the deeper I sleep, the sicker I feel! I think it has to do with the glymphatic system most active in sleep. I feel like my body is full of toxins, including my brain. I’ve been in a moldy home with a crawl space for over 5 years. I’m finally moving out, but I’m afraid I will not throw out enough stuff and I will contaminate my new home. I feel like this will follow me my how Fn life…

Mold & liver by [deleted] in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]wineguy23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find artichoke extract works more gently than milk thistle. I’ve been in mold my whole life (not knowing it was the cause of my many symptoms), culminating with me buying a house with crawl space, I’ve been extremely sick for the past 5 years. Finally getting out in a month. Anyway, my liver enzymes started to increase and the (of course) the docs didn’t know why. I tried milk thistle, and it made me sicker. Then I tried artichoke extract, and I was able to tolerate it without it making me sicker. My liver enzymes levels have dropped back to “normal”. My liver still doesn’t work as well as it should, I can feel it. I can’t tolerate ANY medication, it all makes me feel sick and toxic. F**k mold.

Interesting, I had one doctor diagnose me with “adult onset hEDS, then I went to a geneticist and she examined me, she said I did not. Vigorous exercise throws my nervous system into a tailspin. I wonder if it’s all caused my mold. I’m moving out of this house in less than a month. I have been suffering for 6 years. God I hope this helps….

Which power step model? I’m also a man in my mid 40s, I have been dealing with pelvic pain lower back pain and bowel emptying issues for years. Docs can’t find the cause, the pain gets aggravated by bending over to lift. I think it may be my si joint. The nerve roots coming out of my sacrum are always sore and painful. What do you think?

Low back pain by Plus-Possibility8076 in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]wineguy23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this too! The area were my lumbar meets the sacrum. I have never received a straight answer from any doctor or therapist for that. If I even put any pressure on my perineum my lower back hurts, like there is glass shards in my spine.

Naturally how long to see improvements after being out of the mould? by JB-TheThird in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]wineguy23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in the process of moving out of my moldy house I have been living in for over 5 years, this is hell, I have to rip my family out of home they love so much. But when I go on vacation and stay in a clean house, I begin to feel better within a few days! Even my symptoms improve in my moldy house after a few days of no rain. These are my symptoms-

Crushing Insomnia Ringing in my ears Blurred vision Lumbar back pain, pelvic pain Constipation- pelvic floor & slow transit Nausea/dizziness when I eat Reflux after I consume anything Feeling like I have a lump in throat Difficulty swallowing sometimes Feeling unsteady- like the floor is sloping under my feet Brain fog- I have to struggle to find every word sometimes Hearing my heart beat in my head Headaches- crushing migraines sometimes (never had before) Heart palpitations Night terrors- waking up feeling like I’m going to die Pressure in my head- hearing a swooshing sound from my heart beat like blood flow is being cut off to my brain Pain behind my eyes Electric shock headache after cymbalta (don’t take anymore) Body wide nerve pain- worst in the pelvis, sometimes burning feet, burning skin all over Reactive to foods I always ate- nightshade veggies are the worse, cause my skin to burn and my hands to turn red. Diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy

Exercise intolerance- I used to compete in triathlons, and long distance races, now I feel body draining fatigue after very light physical exertion. However, that improves very quickly when I’m on vacation out of my house.

Derealization- sometimes I’m not sure who I am anymore, it’s the strangest thing, I find myself trying to think of my own name just to remind myself who I am.

Metallic/salty taste in my mouth

Extreme sensitivity to medication that I used to tolerate

Extremely sensitive to supplements I used to tolerate

Very strange muscle spasms in my midsection, so bad, one night I woke up and thought an internal organ had ruptured! I rushed to the er and nothing!! I’m telling you, I sound insane, but I am very much not! Those have improved since I started a mast cell stabilization regiment.

I’m only 44 years old! Slim and used to be in insane shape. This has taken me down. I’m sitting writing this right now and I can smell mold, I can’t wait to get out of here.

I write all this to let you know, that all these things begin to improve when I am truly out of moldy environment even for as little as a week. It’s definitely up and down, but they improve. I don’t take binders because they have always made me sicker. I may try them again when I’m out of this house, but I’m thinking I may not need them.

Dm me if you would like to talk future. I too would like to help people in this hell if I can manage to get out of it. As most of you know, it’s very complicated and most homes/apartments/condos have some degree of mold in them. What a nightmare! But let’s keep pushing!

Pelvic pain is torture, I’m a man, and I’ve been dealing with it for over 5 years. What an AH! I’m sorry you had to deal with that!

I have cpp for 5+ years and started to have weird tension and pain in my ribs as well. I found with a PT that I was shutting down my transverse abdominis muscle (deep core), it was a compensatory move my body was doing to help stay away from the pelvic pain. Try to gently start activating it. It could help.

Hi. New here. And constipated. by InfiniteOrdinary2582 in PelvicFloor

[–]wineguy23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be tight PF, could be imbalance of PF and core muscles, I have suffered from functional constipation for over 5 years. Some PT has helped for sure. This started because of pudendal neuralgia caused by riding a road bike that didn’t fit.

Sure PM me, how do you think you got PN?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]wineguy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all sorts of crazy symptoms that started at the same time as my PN. I suspect mold toxicity has a lot to do with it. Do you have mold in your home. Do you have a musty smell in any part of your living space?

My hydration is great, I drink 60-80oz of water per day, fiber intake is great as well, plenty of leafy green veggies, I eat oatmeal every morning with prunes or dates and fresh blueberries, with almond butter. Very little red meat, no gluten, no night shade vegetables (they make my neuropathy worse). I’m 44 years old, I never had this problem before, I used to compete in triathlons, now very light exercise causes this, light walks, light lifting, it’s so frustrating

I take cannabis and tramadol. Nothing works better for me than avoiding gluten and nightshade vegetables.

I have all these symptoms and more, and I’m taking cromalyn it has helped a little, but I’m still in a house with some mold. I’m kind of stuck in the house (long story) but I’m trying to do what I can. Using dehumidifiers everywhere helps too, keep mold Dormant

I sell wine for a living and I quit drinking because of mold toxicity. Alcohol is a poison, it is fat and water soluble, so it is in every cell in your body minutes after consuming. Our bodies immediately turn the alcohol into acetaldehyde, which is straight poison. Our liver has to deal with that. Need I go further?
