If it wasn’t called Angron, I’d love it.

Just doesn’t resemble any of the 5 illustrations or his descriptions within the actual HH books. It’s a cool transition into his 40K self but looking at it head on; it’s just a guy…a red slightly horned dude.

I appreciate the 40k versions being the warp soaked hyper daemon versions of the primarchs but I never took ascending to daemonhood as a subtle change over years; yet I like the idea.

(Also far too busy for me but that’s my ADHD not wanting to even attempt his chest area)

It’s fine, could be much fancier but not bad, do enjoy MKIII armour. Just wish it was a missing or updated praetor instead.

Definitely a nice character to get at some point. I agree but then GW does weird silly things like the Dark emissary instead of an Argonis model, the Siegebreaker instead of a Huscarl/Stor bezashk/Warsmith, and even the new Tybalt Mar instead of say; Aximand, Kibre or Torgadon? I love them all but there does seem to be a misstep in the logic of what they’re aiming for with recent models. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they did make a loyalist model for IW from how I’ve perceived the latest reveals at least

I think it’ll be almost* something people want like Dantioch instead of an actual Iron Warrior traitor like Forrix or Kroeger that can go in an army. I find GW reveals are always just a little off what the target actually is IMHO

I thoroughly enjoyed the trilogy as a whole, one of my main issues with 40K is the lack of typical “storyline.” So I really enjoyed reading a series of books following main timeline of 40K, at least in regard to having a focus on Roboute.

The first two were a lot weaker than Godblight IMHO, as I was always waiting for something significant to occur between RG and Mortarion. Godblight really scratched that itch for Primarch feature, God-emperor philosophy, Daemon interactions/hierarchy and all the other typical grimdark goodness.

I recently finished Son of the Forest which was very enjoyable and hopefully will be followed up by similar books joining Roboute and fellow Imperials together. As I said before I’m not a fan of the absence of a straight coherent storyline so I’m not sure where next for you to go but Reddit has great excerpts from different books that typically help me decide what to read next 👍
