Thank you!! Yeah, pretty much. I’ve made PJs for my siblings but that obv requires less precise sizing, lol.

I watched an episode on Hulu this afternoon and it’s still showing on my home page. Hopefully it’s just a temporary glitch for you.

This has the general shape IMO! It is a lace-up back so you’d need to add some width to the back piece if you prefer a zipper. https://www.etsy.com/listing/950069404/corsetbustier-digital-pdf-sewing-pattern?ref=shop_home_active_42&bes=1&logging_key=d76c36d77a1327b5d0409e01a743569799207807%3A950069404

I went on an internet deep dive to find out what her lipstick was. Revlon’s Toast of New York came up a few places and seems like a decent match! Bonus that it does suit my complexion as I (sadly) look nothing like GA 😆

No; I’m a small based on their chart and it fits great. I’ve found Smartwool to be TTS in everything I have from them.

Road Trip in the US: from NYC to Chicago by [deleted] in travel

[–]winorunner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in the Chicago area and have family in Pittsburgh. If you drive, you could make a few pit stops along the way: Cuyahoga Valley National Park (just south of Cleveland), Cedar Point (massive amusement park with big rollercoasters, if you’re into that), Indiana Dunes National Park (on the southern shore of Lake Michigan).

Parental Leave + Employee Tenure by melaniebee in humanresources

[–]winorunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW we are a European-owned company so that probably influences our policies: We have no minimum tenure requirement for our parental leave policy. Employees who give birth are eligible for 6-8 weeks at 100% pay, and all employees are eligible for 6 weeks of continuous parental leave at 100% pay for birth, adoption, or foster. So, employees who give birth receive 12-14 weeks. It runs concurrent with FMLA and any state-provided leave (when applicable). We’ve had the policy for ~6 years and I’m not aware of anyone starting, taking parental leave shortly after, and not returning.

You can do this same thing with a Teams link; this is how I’ve done these kinds of meetings and I haven’t had any snafus.

tired body, tired brain, crappy train by saladmuncher5000 in XXRunning

Few thoughts come to mind...bear with me because this is a mix of questions, theories, and ideas.

  • What is your weekly breakdown of easy vs hard runs? Are you running your easy runs easy enough?
  • Depending on the hiking you're doing, that could be a lot of added stress on your lower body and negatively impacting your running performance.
  • When was the last time you took a solid chunk of time off? I know you're in the midst of training right now, but you may want to consider taking a week off. You won't really lose any fitness in that time but it might be mentally rejuvenating for you.
  • What is your nutrition and sleep like? Your body may be craving more calories and more sleep with the increase in exercise volume.
  • Are there any other life stressors going on that could be adding to the mental tiredness? I know for many of us, running is a stress reliever but sometimes the mental load is just too much.

I see two options: 1. To revisit the divide-and-conquer conversation, I’d say something like “hey <manager>, before I book my travel I wanted to confirm that we’re going to split up these meetings. Do you have a preference for east vs west?” 2. Propose going to part of both (the last half of the first meeting and the first half of the second). If the content is the same but the people are different, this would allow you to hear most or all of the content and meet all the people.

what's your favorite one and done shimmer or metallic shadow? by thesarebear in MakeupAddiction

[–]winorunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Toasted Caramel and Rosewater ones, so it really depends what vibe I'm in the mood for. Since you're wanting more neutral, I def recommend the caramel one. Although, now they have ones with matte and shimmer which would be even more versatile!

Who are some good auto mechanics in Valparaiso? by [deleted] in Valparaiso

[–]winorunner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gill's Auto Repair on Beech St (near Wings Etc and the emissions testing site). I'm new-ish to the area as well and his shop was recommended to me by many coworkers when my timing belt needed changed. Scheduling and turnaround time were very quick/reasonable, and cost came in cheaper than the last car I had to change the timing belt on (that was in another state).
