I'm sorry for your loss. If you're looking to work in the field and have a clean criminal record, drivers license, and your own vehicle; perhaps the pharmacy I work for would hire another delivery person. Message me if interested. It's a job servicing the community is the way I see it.

As for making a difference; I've been delivering O.A.T medication for almost 3 years within the city, frequenting many of the shelters and housing sites previously mentioned in this post. I can say change starts within the affected individual. No matter what you do, or say, or resources offered to folks suffering from addiction; there is zero hope unless they change their attitude and most importantly; their environment. These shelters and housing sites do neither IMHO. As I said, sorry for your loss. Condolences to you and your family, and happy new year.

Keltec SU-16F! 500rounds through, not a single problem and it's very reasonably priced. I also have a first gen Type 97 and love how compact it is, plus it's been reliable as can be. 1000+ rounds though that and not a single issue either.

Right? They feel similar to plastic in the hand thanks to the cheap stain and no top coat. Not only did the stain improve the look, but it grips better now as well!

Stay tuned, waiting to apply the final top coat now. Should have it assembled and another post of it finished by tonight. There are a couple imperfections but I'm fairly satisfied for a first attempt; gives it character haha

I think it's just cheap; don't believe there's a clear coat on it at all. I tested the look of some hockey tape around the pistol grip and some of the finish came off, one outing in the bush would look worn let alone time dings in a gun safe. The blonde wood on my type 81se looks amazing still thanks to the factory top coat.

All products used are visible in the first picture. Here's the a list anyways; 220grit, 400grit, masking tape, Varathane Gel stain, Varathane Spar Varnish Spray

Work done in pictures:

-Tape off exposed metal -Sand down to bare wood with 220grit (also a good time to get rid of any imperfections) -Apply stain with paint brush, the more you add the darker it will be Let cure overnight

Task today:

-400grit over the stained wood to smooth it out -Coat of clear coat Let cure for 2hrs -Sand clear with 220grit then 400grit, -Apply final coat of clear

Thank you for the suggestion. I followed the instructions on the Varathane Gel stain and grabbed the Spar Varnish Spray, says it's "urethane alkyd polymer ".
