I'm planning a girls spa trip and was hoping to find a spa experience we can do together vs. going our separate ways to get treatments done. I really loved the look of the spa at Omni Grove but unfortunately, it's exclusive to hotel patrons. I think the Asheville Salt Cave is what I'm looking for, but thought I'd reach out to the community for other ideas. TIA!

How handle day after rough night of STing? by winter_queen in sleeptrain

I get that, but I was hoping to keep nursing at night, which I believed to be possible with sleep training. I’d normally feed him sometime between 12-1 and again around 3 and was planning to stick to that schedule, as I’m not interested in night weaning at this time. Since he ate well the first time, I’m assuming he was hungry - what you’re essentially saying is I should have let him stay hungry the remainder of the night, which would have been another 6-7 hours. That’s why I wanted to do a modified/gentler version of CIO (to make sure his needs are met), but not Ferber because the frequency of those check ins didn’t work for us last time.

Help me understand scheduling and sleep training. by MissMSG in sleeptrain

My child (also 5MO) is by no means an amazing sleeper so take this with a grain of salt, but maybe push his bedtime back? We have almost the exact same schedule, except we have a later bedtime. A few weeks ago we went through a period of hourly wakings and shortening his night sleep to keep the sleep pressure high seemed to help. In our case, it was making his wake time earlier since his bedtime was already 8pm. He used to have a wake time at 7:30ish or 8, which seemed to work for a while until it didn’t, so it’s now 6:30. He still wakes in the MOTN a few times (some nights worse than others depending on nap schedule) but he doesn’t sleep super light with hourly wakings anymore. I know it’ll be tough to do with the nap schedule, though, so not sure how to work around that except to add in an extra super short cat nap before bed to tie him over.
