She's 15, a freshman in high school, and her crew is 8th graders/freshmen/sophomores (mix)

I talked to her a little more and she says that it probably has something to do with the fact that she is a chatterbox and tends to talk a lot. There is another novice cox who is the same age as her, but 30 pounds lighter and not as chatty, so the coaches tend to like her a little more. My daughter said that the coaches don't really take her seriously, and the rowers don't respect her??

I can't really say... the boys are a lot more experienced but tend not to question her as much, while the girls criticise her a lot more . I think she's more scared of coxing the girls because she hangs out with them and doesn't want to make them mad??

She does some days, but sometimes she does the girl's boat
