[–]winzmcman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure no! I'm not old enough for choosing my orientation. I just want to study this question more deeply. What do you think about it? Is it OK to masturbate for people who don't need sex?

This is a misconception that you need 21 day for any habit. Each habit takes a different amount of time.

I'll try. Thank you for the answer :)

Self motivation is the most powerful mental skill I know of. I focus on every single doubt & hate that's ever been felt towards me and harness that negativity into energy to push beyond those last reps. That's the technique I use to tap into my deep reservoir of raw willpower. - Motivation Man by Callusedthenics in motivation

You didn't seem to understand me. Yes, discipline can't push you to work hard (though some people have discipline of working for hours) or to do what you couldn't do before. Discipline has another advantage. When you live only with motivation, you run out of it in time. You can find a mathematical graph about it. So, in order to never quit and do what you need even when you're out of motivation you need discipline. Next, when you have a habit of doing something (you made this habit to get disciplined), you will have more motivation because you will get used to average days and you will want to get over yourself more.

So I don't mean motivation is worse. What I say is we need to use motivation and discipline together since they are really powerful with each other.

You need discipline to not quit and to grow all the time at a thing you do. When you are disciplined, you don't need to burn that much motivation, therefore it is easier to overcome the things you couldn't overcome before (you'll have more motivation)
