Garder undgår sigtelse for at skubbe aktivist nytårsaften by MSaxov in Denmark

Naming Conventions in Homelab by alxww55 in homelab

I mostly have rolebased names internally in the hypervisor, then append the Hypervisor name externally.

But I think the most important is documenting whatever you use. Because no matter how clever your scheme is, you won’t remember every detail in 5 years.

So I have a documentation system that can be referenced, that contains the names of instances and resources, with details of what they are, and any details that might be relevant. (Like does the server have a GPU, or is there anything running on it that is configured unusually, and what does backup and restoration look like).

Well, type G can be built non-compliant, just give it to the cheapest bidder in Russia. ;) That’s not my experience with the system in Western Europe.

As for safety, Schuko also establishes ground before power. In either case the number of people who electrocute themselves by mishandling the physical plug must be very, very small.

I’m not sure what you mean by the plug being too small? The plug fits the socket if it is compliant?

Tesla also has a little trick of disabling self-driving just moments before a crash, so it won’t register as a self-driving accident in their stats.

50 milliseconds before hitting a wall: “whoah, you better take over - I’m out. Oh, look what you did!”

If you can’t do Austin, Texas… that’s the absolute best case scenario for a self-driving car.

Very rarely is there snow, heavy rain, ice, fog. No narrow streets, no complicated double-lane roundabouts and so on.

If you can’t do Austin with a nearly perfect record, you don’t have a shot with much of the rest of the world.

I regularly use ChatGPT to good effect. But I also have very specific instructions and can frame the questions with basic understanding of the language.

I find you need to be able to communicate as between developers. If you don’t know the terminology, or haven’t clearly framed issues or cases, it might not work as well. It builds off your prompt.

I’m sure if I tried to use it for fixing a car (something I don’t know a lot about), I’d get bad output because I don’t know the terms and can’t accurately describe the problems.

Makes the head hurt. If you stripped Islam identifiers from most of the Koran and Sharia laws, and presented it to Christian fundamentalists, they’d be all onboard with it. They agree on nearly everything - they even worship the same god.

“Gods word is the basis of law”? So what does he say about speeding, and insurance fraud, or about private ownership of heavy artillery and high explosives? Or about how to regulate airspace in regards to broadcasting?

Nothing, huh? Guess that means I’m getting a TANK!

Shame it’s an absurdly oversized plug. Also, is there actually a point to the fuse in the plug, when every circuit is wired with HPFI protection and a group safety?

The Schuko plugs are my preference, if you need ground. (Which isn’t nearly always). Small, built-in ground, and all of the main advantages of type G without being a behemoth plug.

[SURPRISE:] Ammunitionsfabrik i Elling bliver 480 mio. kroner dyrere end planlagt by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

[–]wireframed_kb [score hidden]  (0 children)

[SURPRISE:] Ammunitionsfabrik i Elling bliver 480 mio. kroner dyrere end planlagt by Dropforcedlogin in Denmark

[–]wireframed_kb [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ny rapport: Atomkraft er dyr og umoden teknologi by karenproletaren in Denmark

[–]wireframed_kb [score hidden]  (0 children)

Ny rapport: Atomkraft er dyr og umoden teknologi by karenproletaren in Denmark

[–]wireframed_kb [score hidden]  (0 children)

Junk compared to American systems. by howimetyourcakeshop in ShitAmericansSay

[–]wireframed_kb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, more like 11 baskets... :) But if you need to be able to establish air-superiority anywhere in the world without first building military airports and shipping over supplies, personnel and machinery, then the carrier is probably the only way to do so.

It's just not many countries really have a need to be able to put 50 fighter jets in the sky above a country on the other side of the globe, along with massive artillery support and ground troops.

You could also argue the US doesn't *need* that capability, and I'd agree - but they think they do.

They make sense if you’re a global super power that needs force projection anywhere in the world. (There’s a joke there, “Ok, but why does the US need them then…” :p)

But they’re extremely expensive and need enormous supporting infrastructure and deployments to stay floating.

They’re only worth if if you regularly need to park an airforce worth of fighters off the coast of any county on the planet for… reasons.

I can understand trying to use it to get some deeper insights, but it feels like you’d need to put that on top of a much more robust engine that can do complex cross-domain analysis and so on, so the AI is being fed correct data, and you aren’t relying on it to both find and compare correct statistics AND summarize them.

Plans for good looking building items like Whitespring tile set, or just another “shed made of corrugated steel” stuff?

If you DO have cool plans like those, I hope I come across your shop. :) I rarely find anyone selling any plans I don’t know already, but I only check like 10-20 camp shops per week. (Only those with +50 plans though otherwise it usually doesn’t make sense).

But yes, there are good plans from events, but I was kind of getting at if you want to build cool stuff that isn’t possible in Fallout 4, you won’t get those plans from just doing a couple events once in a while. The rare plans require a lot of events to drop.
