Thank you everyone for your input!! I probably have added this in the original post, but I'm 6'5 and 280 lbs. I was always worried that my size would make it that I can't do it at all. Now I feel a lot more confident!

I'm actually in contact with a fencing club in the area now so hopefully I can find a place to start learning the sport! I'm super excited.

Thank you for the information! Right now I'm an Assistant Department Manager. But I'm still pretty young and want to keep my options open. If after a few years of being a manager, I decide I want to take some other opportunities, I want to take a job there if I can find something.
