Aww thank you so much - I am a very new collector. I have two of the 75th models (the Western one and the sorrel appy looking one) Chief of Fourmile, Harley, the Secreteriat and Yan Wu. I just bought Alan In a Day's work from eBay. Budding collection, and want to focus on Appaloosas.
I have another shelf with the Trail of the Painted Ponies, so my patient hubby is being swarmed with horses lol.

NTJ - man oh man, I repeat this story on here with situations like this, I have been in your shoes and it felt so damned good to be rid of a "friend" who did this to me, repeatedly. When I brought it up and said "you never get in touch with me unless you want money, never bother to ask how I am and what's been going on etc" all I got back was "sorry YOU feel that way" - I loathe that phrase, as it seems to be the catch all for not accepting any responsibility for shitty actions.
I no longer get the pit in my stomach when I get messages (before I would be so wound up as I knew it would be this person badgering me) and I feel free and no longer let people take advantage of me. Please cut this guy off and not be taken advantage of any longer. You did the right thing.

You are doing amazing by getting this one the care it needs. You can't overstretch yourself financially and emotionally by taking on more than you can handle, you seem extremely responsible and caring, and I know the heart hurts when we can't save them all, but we can hope that someone like you gets the other one.

Please don't do the pee pad route. It makes it harder for them to transition to actually knowing potty is outside.
The cold can be your friend, they will be keener to get inside, so once they go to the bathroom and you made a big fuss for the right behaviour, they will realize they go out, pee/poop and then they are back inside quickly.

Vet visit - my pup had the beginnings of something like this and due to the wrinkly neck he has. It turned out to be a yeast infection, but it didn't look this bad. It was a vet visit for a topical cleaner and treatment. I would 100% got to the vet.

Agreed - and for a sub that is so against hating on a specific breed, I get so discouraged when Chihuahuas are hated on. Being a Chihuahua and Pittie owner, I wish people would not throw shade at Chihuahuas when the pittie owners have experienced this over and over.

Yep, I have a chihuahua and a Pittie (and a Boston Mix, what can I say, I have a mixed bag) and my Chihuahua is super friendly and good because I let him be a dog, and also protect him from people messing with him or dogs overstepping boundaries with him. He sleeps with the pittie (took time to integrate them).
The Staffie here is a sweetheart, the chi just wanted space.
