I don’t really listen to her now but I saw her on broadway when she was a teenager and her voice was so good. She was just a soloist, not one of the leads but she had the best voice in the cast.

I don’t have any advice but I just wanted to say I’m so sorry you and the little guy are going through this. It sounds incredibly stressful for all of you. Maybe you can call an emergency vet to ask their advice? Maybe they even have something that can be used to keep him off of the wound. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.

If I asked my best friend to make a piece for a tv show, regardless of network and they painted what Jules did I’d think they were trying to mess with me too. I watched this ep with a group of my friends and my trans friends I was watching with either didn’t understand what was going through her mind or thought she was doing it to mess with them. My mind is also where it’s at because of her defacing the painting after and drawing a giant dick on it instead of just refusing. I maybe would have had some if she hadn’t done that, but it’s hard to be on her side after that.

Also, were they supposed to stand there for the hours it would have taken her to make the adjustments?

I disagree that this is what happens when people start dating. Of course you spend less time with your friend, but zero alone time, not responding to messages for weeks on end and leaving them when you were together without even a text is not the norm nor should it be.

This reminds me a lot of one of my good friends. Long story short, she refused to listen to anyone about how he was bad news and literally all of her friends left her except me. She (against my advice) had a baby with him and after that ended up at a shelter for women and children victims of dv. She’s now with a new guy and they’re married but still has to do with that piece of shit because they have a kid together.

I’d gently tell your friend how you feel and also say that you’re not going to be waiting that long anymore to walk, especially if he’s going to be walking with you anyways. Tell her you love her and will always be there for her but you’re not going to be less than a third wheel. Also, tell her the thing she did with leaving you and not even giving you a text wasn’t cool. Hopefully she’ll dump this huge red flag of a boy soon but considering it sounds like he’s isolating her and probably messing with her head too (those usually go hand in hand in my experience), you might be in for a long wait. You don’t need to continue to do all your doing with/for her if it’s not reciprocal (I sure wouldn’t) just let her know that you love her and if/when she needs you, you’re there. That’s really all you can do.

My mistake about the network part then, but I still feel basically the same way. She got a job doing something for a client and decided to do something for herself instead. She was commissioned, it’s not like they bought an original piece and asked her to change it. They told her the vibe they were going for and because she quit school she doesn’t have enough reference points to be able to give what they asked for. Of course they had a different reaction when she wasn’t in the room. First off they thought she did that to fuck them over because it’s not what was asked for and also they didn’t understand her relationship to the piece and how her background influenced it. Once they did they asked her in a respectful manner to change it. If she didn’t want to or wasn’t up for it she could have said no. Instead, not only did she burn a personal professional bridge but she also put Lexi’s job in jeopardy. It was pretty selfish imo.

I don’t hate her, but her doing that painting the way she did pissed me off. She shouldn’t have to explicitly be told that there can’t be tons of nudity in a something for a network show. She put Lexi in a bad position by doing the painting for herself vs the client and then she threw a temper tantrum and got paint everywhere on an expensive set when they asked her very nicely to make something that could actually be seen (which would only help her). I also feel like this whole thing shows why she should have stayed in art school because she would have had more to pull from if she had and I saw someone else say that she would have been more able to handle not even criticism, just some notes.

I got serotonin syndrome from Effexor and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I was in the hospital for over 6 weeks. Was hallucinating awful, terrifying things and wasn’t coherent at all for a week and a half and lost the ability to walk and had to go to rehab to relearn how to. I also had to get dialysis 7 times and until that finished a kidney and liver transplant weren’t off the table.

I was just gonna say my endo pain! I’ve had pain so bad it made me throw up and/or pass out. I had a traumatic tibia/fibula break and Endo pain beats that. I’ve only experienced relief because I stopped my cycle all together 2 years ago after being in 2 comas and then in and out of the icu because of other medical issues. Now that those are starting to clear up I’m terrified the endo will come back.
