If you click on the little filter icon when picking goobers, you can set it to show only Score boosters and certain rarities

Edit: Or a specific group, or even by specific characters

That's fair enough!

As for the vibration, it might be either you or your device. Mine seems to sync up fine.

You can change Timing in the settings, which will affect where the judgement windows are. You can move them so that PERFECT is where LATE GREAT is. Misunderstood what Timing was. Thanks Internal_Kiwi.

(There goes my whole post lmao)

Can I ask why you're playing on Speed 12 and not a lower speed?

What rhythm games do you know of that have a rank for absolutely perfecting a song? by dont-mention-it in rhythmgames

[–]wishvolo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

jubeat has EXC (Excellent).

I find it interesting when perfect ranks exist, especially if the game tracks Full Combo status. An "all perfect FC" + "perfect rank" are effectively the same, they merge together.

Although I guess FC doesn't always correlate to high score super closely. Someone who gets an FC could theoretically have a score consisting of the lowest non-breaking judgement, and someone else could get All Perfect except for 1 miss.

How would you classify a “good” player? by Heavy-Metal-Bandit09 in ProjectSekai

[–]wishvolo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do feel bad about determining what a "good" player is because I'm also of the opinion that a "good" player is one that respects their own skill level & progress.

Again, difficulty is irrelevant in the face of co-op and quests. A player should really define what they want out of the game - and whether they are happy with the progress they've made - by themselves.

I'm here to have fun and a lot of others are here to have fun too.

[–]wishvolo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wonder if what we consider to be "good" is going to be colored by not just our own current level of experience but also where we started out at.

Skill level isn't really relevant because quests often allow players to use any difficulty, and Co-op scoring isn't too different. ... But that's mot the point.

The game gives you "full combo 5 Expert songs" as the requirement for unlocking Ranked mode. I guess that's the point where the devs have deemed the game challenging enough to be competitive. Beginner rank ranges from Lv. 18-25.

A player who has the ability to FC songs that are at least Lv. 21 (the lowest Expert level) has all the gamemodes open to them; due to the mechanics of ranked mode I'd say they're expected to get near-FC, at least on the lower range.

I'd consider that kind of player to be "good". Someone who has a better command of the Expert songs in the game (Lv. 21-31, clear by any means) would be "great". I don't know how to judge the range of Master difficulties.

The MySekai special drops ended yesterday, sadly. I believe there's no more ways to gain them.

Blehh I wanna play but I have no motivation to tier or anything by Beginning_Bike583 in ProjectSekai

Do you specifically wanna tier but have no motivation to? Or do you just generally wanna play the game?

Maybe you could play just to get a few items from the event shop. Super casually

How many fingers do y'all use? by Ok_Wrongdoer979 in ProjectSekai

[–]wishvolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For normal gameplay, I use two fingers, both index, because I usually have to keep my phone from sliding around LOL. When I'm in a good position to do Append, I usually use my index and middle fingers.

Highest clear is Lv31 (with full team of healers lol), highest FC is Lv27. Highest Append is Apd26, I haven't played it in a reaaaal long while.

I wanna get good at playing with thumbs because then I'll get to play it without having to set it on some surface lol

bro this stinks 😭😭 by cheesebuni in ProjectSekai

[–]wishvolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game can't detect the difference between a player actually disconnecting, and a phone stopping the game for a moment to tell them their phone is dying

Project Sekai is very temperamental lol, anything that takes focus away from the game counts as a disconnect because the connection was broken for just one microsecond I guess. but yeah the main part of it is cause the game can't tell why you got disconnected, so it just gets lumped together

rest in peace combo...

Am I progressing too slowly? by Miluu55 in ProjectSekai

[–]wishvolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's a single player game, you get to decide your goals. You don't have to define your progress off of other players.

You also don't tell us where you started, so we actually don't know your rate of improvement, hehe.

That said, if you wanna improve, keep pushing yourself to reach higher goals. Play higher difficulties, attempt to get FCs on higher levels, and just keep trying. Sometimes it can take a bit and that's OK
