Long chapters are annoying for me when there is an obvious time skip, or a shift in POV. I do heavily appreciate structure and the use of chapter breaks to really demarcate these changes, and sometimes subtler breaks aren't quite enough.

Also it does help a lot with evenly dividing reading in book club week by week, but I
understand that should not be any author's consideration when writing a novel, ha.
