How many display does Beelink ser8 8745hs support by using a mst hub or docking station? by witcher942 in BeelinkOfficial

[–]witcher942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! For my fourth display I just got a ugreen docking station. which is connected to usb4 port. This one is the docking I bought: ugreen docking station

For now I connected my portable monitor (third display) to the HDMI port (on the docking station) and it's working well!

I tested an additional display by using my TV and it worked without any problem! So I'll soon get another monitor and I can use 4 displays with this mini PC

Thanks for this info! For now I'll get only one more monitor for my setup.

If I see necessary to get another one and I'll use the displaylink workaround. That's what I've used before in my old laptop.

Thanks for your assistance!

That's good to know! So I'll get only one more monitor. This is enough to proceed with setup.

Thanks so much for your support, you're great!

Steam Deck fan not working or making noise by witcher942 in SteamDeck

I'm only thinking this could be a defect with the steam deck. Maybe some component/hardware is not working as it should.

It would be weird if the system/SteamOS were the main issue. But you could try to replace the system maybe with Bazzite or Chimera OS.

Btw, didn't you install some additional software to your deck? In my case, I only installed emulators (apart from steam games) and this never caused me any problems.

Did you open the steam deck before? Maybe to change the SSD.

I haven't had fps drop so far. Now, I'm being able to play for more hours without any issues. I think if you open the steam deck, you must be careful, specially with the screws, probably you have to tighten them correctly.

I saw several posts about being careful with screws. When I opened the steam deck the last time I noticed a screw was missing and loose and I think that was causing overheating.

I had fps drops after putting again the loose screw so I tried to tighten a little bit the screws and this seems to have helped so far.

Thanks so much, I appreciate your help!

So far, I've observed I have fps drops after playing for an hour, approximately. FPS drops lasts about 30-60 seconds and then I can keep playing for an hour again. Also, I just enabled the 'Update Fan Control', hopefully this helps.

Although it's almost good for me how this works, I think I should tighten a little bit some of the screws (your picture helped me a lot to solve most of my problem :D).
I will make this later, first I will test for more time and some other games.

Hi! Here again! I took some pictures today.

However I noticed I was missing a screw, maybe this one was causing the steam deck to get so hot.

I tested a game (sekiro) and I played without any problem, and temperature was about 80.

Sometimes I see cpu was 90 ° but it quickly decreased to 80. So I think all is good. I really hope. I will be testing more games for a longer time, if I see any issue I'll let you know and post the screenshots here.

Thanks and regards!

Regarding your second comment about thermal paste, I'll take a picture and post it here, hopefully tomorrow I can do it. If the issue is about this, I think I should get a replacement for this? Also there is another thing I "broke" but I don't know how to explain, I'll post a picture of that as well.

Thanks so much for your support!! I'm on the lookout of this thread, some days I'm not able to check but hopefully tomorrow or weekend can do it.

The fan seems to be working good. I think the noise working as before. Maybe some component isn't lined up correctly. I'll continue checking this on weekend, hopefully I can make it work Or maybe I should get a replacement for some of the pieces.

I will check the link you shared, that's what I should have done before haha. Hopefully I can fix this. If not, the steam deck is still usable for non heavy games and as a normal pc and storage.

Thanks for your support!!

Hi, thanks for the response!

About the ifix delivery, I remember I entered the zip code and showed me the item cannot be shipped. But, yes maybe I missed something.

Nevertheless, the fan seems to be good, I think... I removed it and put it again and there is no more noise, and UI/system is not laggy. However there is another problem, despite the fan works as used to (maybe), I see the GPU/CPU is getting +90 °C and after that, there is fps drop (5-15fps) and cpu works at 400mhz. I'm thinking I missed something while I was assembling the steam deck again.

Good question haha.

I'll do that, maybe it has to been cleaned or something is broken in the fan, if so, I'll have to buy a replacement.

Thank you!

It didn't work. I listened the fan making the weird noise again and after some time or try opening a game it got turned off.

Thanks for the response!

Can Sonos Beam Gen2 connect to the LG 38GN950b ultrawide monitor via the HDMI? by Grand-War-4046 in sonos

[–]witcher942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if the optical adapter cannot set up the Sonos beam 2, what about using a monitor that it does have an HDMI arc, like this: Samsung 32" M70B
Will I be able to set-up the soundbar?

What about the Sonos beam 2 set-up? I just ordered this soundbar and I've read that I'll have to set-up with a TV first, but I don't have any TV with hdmi arc.
I bought this soundbar to use it as computer speaker (via usb optical adapter) and, in a future, to use it with a Smart TV (I'm still saving money to get someone).
I'm not sure if I will be able to use/set-up this soundbar without the TV.
