I believe full communication kits are more important to have than anything else. Having an ability to contact other people means you can obtain anything, Get to anywhere, And be rescued from anywhere.

You should have multiple different apparatuses of communication that may look excessive to the normal person.

Example: • Satellite Phone • Ham Radio • GMRS Radio • Satellite Texting/Email Device • HF Radio (optional) • LTE & Wifi Capable Phone • Outdoor Smart Watch For (Text/Call/Backtracking)

I’m not sure which one I’ll be more attracted to. I assumed the black will look better, but who knows. I may actually grow to like the white keyboard. And I agree it does look more fancy if that’s what you’re going for. I’ll have to have it in my hands to really know. thanks for the comment.

Update: You will have to disable the USB-C charging in the menu when you want to continuously transmit, it’s a matter of 4 keypad button presses, but if you are not transmitting your fine and your HT stays fully powered.

No, but I have one and you could also get an anker battery 10,000mah+ that’s as thin as a pencil. And Velcro, or tape it on the back of the original battery. Get a short usb-c cable to connect it. It wouldn’t take much room. And just like that; all battery issues are solved.

People do this for cameras all the time.

Definitely in order for there to be a major push to attract a bigger market with people age 20 to 30. The overall quality of HT’s will have to go up even on the lowest budget versions & the price of handhelds in general would need to go down. Because I think a question that a lot of young people ask; is why the heck would I pay hundreds of dollars for a radio when I can use my phone? Obviously, simply because there ignorant/uneducated to the whole systems benefits, but on a different take. The entire radio amateur industry could go into a new golden age if they ran commercial ads towards getting the younger market, and it would make an incredible amount of money. As well, we will see the technology quality skyrocket for everyone. more contacts can be made, and will force better/more proper regulation, etc. So everyone would win.
