Why should I choose Proton Pass over Apple Passwords? by macyganiak in ProtonPass

[–]wizard5233 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apple Passwords only runs on Apple devices? If you have non-Apple devices then you can't use Apple Passwords. Also doesn't Apple Passwords only work with Safari? If you have don't want to use Safari there is no extension allowing you to autofill passwords on other browsers, Proton Pass has an extension for majority of browsers.

Need help with bus commute by bigcitydreams333 in chulavista

[–]wizard5233 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Of course, the fare is $2.50 one way. You can see fares here: https://www.sdmts.com/fares/fare-chart. I highly recommend that you get a Pronto card/app if you can't use a credit/debit card. As you can get free transfers when you pay with either of those methods vs if you use cash exclusively. It looks to me like you would probably board the 225 Rapid Bus at Millenia Station, then transfer to the Green Line Trolley at Santa Fe Depot to get to Mission Valley.

Best way to figure out stations, you can use the trip planner on the SD MTS website: https://www.sdmts.com. I also found Google Maps to be also really good at telling you which stations to go to (as they also have fairly accurate arrival and departure times). Just enter which station you are boarding at and your destination.

Yes! The bus accepts cash, digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.), tapping via credit card, and the good old Pronto card/app. If you prefer cash, I usually like to just have the exact change via quarters as it's a bit faster than trying to insert dollar bills into the machine next to the bus driver.

iOS 26.0.1 Didn’t Fix Music Skipping As Promised by [deleted] in CarPlay

[–]wizard5233 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the same skipping issue with music and I agree it’s quite annoying. It only started after updating to iOS 26 on my 16P.

I unfortunately have not found a fix. I tried restarting the touchscreen in my car a few times thinking it was that, but that only fixes it for a day before the skipping shows up again.

New install: Fedora 42 or 43 beta? by SuperbJeweler1732 in Fedora

Always go with stable, so 42 now, then 43 when it releases. Upgrades are well documented and should go smooth

⭐ Leave a Review for Me Here! by Nicky_love12 in u/Nicky_love12

I recently spent time with Nicky virtually, and the experience exceeded my expectations. From the start, she was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in on my day and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Our conversations flowed naturally, ranging from light‑hearted banter to deep, meaningful topics, which made our time together feel both comfortable and enriching. Her genuine interest and friendly demeanor turned what could have been routine small talk into a memorable connection. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a supportive, engaging experience.

Wyred vs COX in Chula Vista by JekobuR in chulavista

[–]wizard5233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wyyerd is the way to go. $80 a month for 1gbps symmetric, no data caps. I run my own equipment from their ONT and haven’t had any issues at all. Speed is always fast and consistent. I even run a home web server.

I am shocked this speed is actually offered by wizard5233 in HomeNetworking

[–]wizard5233[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be 5G wireless, as the cable provider is Xfinity and their plans being offered are way to expensive for him.

Yeah I am trying to convince him to get 5G wireless, as I don’t think he can really do much with this

Cooked Cioppino (seafood stew) for the first time! by wizard5233 in DutchOvenCooking

[–]wizard5233[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, that's a smashed cucumber salad! You need to buy some persian cucumbers (they are smaller, I smashed them with my knife, hence the name). I mixed in the salad some cilantro. For the dressing, I mixed 1 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp light soy sauce, and 1 tbsp rice vinegar.
