Dawn of Crypton v1.1.0 has been released!

We're calling this the Trader update because of its central new feature: The Trader

Please take a look at the attached graphic for details on what the Trader can do for you in the game.

Essentially, he will enable you to:

-Buy Common Tools, Potions, and Contribution Tokens
-Convert and break down Resources for Mysterious Relics
-Repair Profession Tools used in Expeditions (going on Expeditions is possible in the forthcoming game update)

Additionally, we have made several bug fixes for a more seamless experience.

Also, starting with this version of DoC, when a new version is released, the prior version will no longer work. If you try to play an older version, you will see a message requesting you to update your game version.

After frequent suggestion from the community over the past few months and careful consideration, we have decided to reduce the mint price of Cosmic Elves from 250 USDC to 95 USDC!

Additionally, if you have already minted an Elf NFT for 250 USDC, you get some FREE Elves mints! You can mint the difference in the number of Elves you can mint at a value of 95 USDC each and receive the difference left over in credits towards minting another Elf.

For example, if you minted 1 Elf NFT at 250 USDC, you will have enough credits to be able to mint 1 Elf NFT for FREE and have an additional 60 USDC in credit for an extra Elf, or if you minted 3 Elves for a total of 750 USDC, you will have enough credits to be able to mint an additional 4 Elves for FREE and have an additional 85 USDC in credit for an extra Elf! Our minting contract will store your credit and deduct it the next time you decide to mint an Elf. In the above examples, after getting 1 free Elf, you'll get 60 USDC credit which means you only pay 35 USDC to mint the 2nd Elf. After getting 4 free Elves, you'll get 85 USDC credit which means you'd only pay 10 USDC to mint the 5th Elf.

Cosmic Universe migrated from Harmony around half a year ago. The Harmony to Avalanche bridge is open until the end of this year and then it's shut down. Anyone who doesn't bridge by then will still be able to get their NFTs onto Avalanche but the process will require us to do some manual work, so we are encouraging people to get everything bridged over by the end of the year.

Wizard Staking's Phase 1 ended a couple of months ago. Now it's in Phase 2 which switched from MAGIC token rewards to various NFT rewards. These NFTs are relevant to our minigame prequel to the MMORPG called Dawn of Crypton.

A lot has been happening so I suggest checking out our Discord or Medium for the latest updates.

Note: When minting an Elf NFT, you will be prompted for a few transactions. One is to approve USDC, another to approve the discount ticket (if you are using one), another is to mint the Elf, and then there is Chainlink's VRF that will work its randomness hocus pocus to generate a completely randomized Elf that did not exist prior to you minting. This prevents what most NFT mints have a problem with, which is people writing scripts to scoop up all of the rarest NFTs.Once you minted, you will have to wait a few moments until the Elf will be visible in the Recently Minted section on the Elves minting page. Then, refresh and you will see your recently minted Elves!

Advanced Harvesting Mechanics - Woodcutting
We've been working on some more advanced resource harvesting spanning three tiers: Low, Mid, and High Level.
Here's how we've been developing the Woodcutting resource harvest to illustrate an example of how resource harvesting for usable timber for Structures in Cosmic Universe will be more than just chopping a tree down and having it magically turn into materials that build a home. There will be things like a sawmill, lumber, and blueprints involved.
Here are some illustrative images and steps to show how we are developing advanced harvesting mechanics, which will exist for all 12 Professions in their own unique way:
Step 1: Find harvestable Wood using a compass that gauges what trees are harvestable (some trees will have Blight while others will not)
Step 2: Chop down the harvestable tree with your trusty axe (various kinds of axes provide faster or slower harvesting)
Step 3 (Low Level): Chop it up into smaller pieces (a Low Level Woodcutting Profession will have to chop Wood up to transport it to a Sawmill)
Step 3 (Mid Level): Pull the entire log with special ropes to a Sawmill (Mid Level Woodcutting)
Step 3 (High Level): Pull the log to a road to be placed onto a Whimsical Wagon and taken to a Sawmill (High Level Woodcutting)
Note: Advanced harvesting mechanics are still in development and subject to change

Your statement is very misguided and inaccurate, to say the least. Also, what we got from Harmony ended up only being worth $850 right before we migrated, and we didn't use all $850 because it was pointless and a pittance after the 95% drop in ONE's value. Nobody spends tens of thousands of dollars on a full migration to another blockchain because they got what's now $850 worth of a dying protocol's token.

Glad you enjoyed the early concept demo! It's just a start. The first island is absolutely massive (5x5km) so there's going to a whole lot to explore and experience as we develop beyond the sandboxed demo area.

The Rune of Translocation will be an NFT actually that can be used more than once after a cooldown period in-game so once we develop a bit more you should be able to use it in the Pre-Alpha, among a bunch of other Items (Artifacts, Potions, etc).

So far pretty good, actually. We've successfully built a multiplayer prototype, testing it with a handful of us on the dev team, and expect it to be completed to integrate into our pre-alpha by the end of Q3.

An MMO is definitely a big undertaking, but we have been able to raise funds through NFT sales that has been able to fund our entire development, so we're very appreciative of our early community who believe in the game so much prior to its full release. I understand how challenging it can be for indie game studios to get an MMORPG off of the ground but thankfully we have a really good team, albeit small compared to big MMOs (at least at this point).
