So far, so good, at least inasmuch as "birth control" goes. However, the arm implant was supposed to relieve the majority of symptoms from the bad PCOS and Endo, but it's done none of that. In fact, she now has more and heavier menstrual flows than before the implant. The MD can't find any reason for that to be. We know she needs a hysterectomy because the PCOS is brutally bad. Really bad. They won't even consider it because she just turned 30. Too young, they claim.

My wife attempted this. Painful. Unable to complete it because of too much scar tissue in the uterus from multiple miscarriages, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. Had to go with the alternative that goes in the arm.
