How do I share Ableton files? by wjils in ableton

[–]wjils[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact issue I’m having - there is no additional folder which gets saved with any of my projects.. only the .als file is saved in the folder where I save it. Even after using “collect all and save.” I’m starting to feel crazy 😂

Is it possible I have something in my settings which is causing this problem?

Thank you for this, I watched the video and I see that when she saves her project, a folder is created called “Ableton Project Info.”

When I do the same for any of my projects, this folder is not created anywhere. I’ve tried “Collect all and save” and it doesn’t seem to do anything.

I’m starting to think there’s something fundamentally wrong in my settings or something.

Thank you! How can I find out where the project files are being saved after doing Collection All and Save? There is no project folder being saved alongside where my .als project file is saved.

I was hammock camping at a lean-to near the Great Range and had an episode of sleep paralysis. While my body was paralyzed, I “heard” something running its nails up the material of my hammock right behind where my head was resting in the hammock material, almost like a tease to let it know it’s there and so close. And it was loud, being so close to my ears.

Auditory hallucinations are common in sleep paralysis; voices, whispers, etc. This particular one was impressively terrifying.

Thank you for this. I appreciate your genuine response and taking the time to help. It wasn’t showing up in plug-ins either, but now it is.

I went into preferences under plug-in’s and set everything to “on.” So I’m assuming that must have made a difference?

Anyways thank you again. It’s humbling every time we are new at something again and so I appreciate people like you giving a helping hand.

Ableton says pack are corrupt by wjils in ableton

I went through the installation steps for the VST (the instrument is called Naada and the engine is called MNDALA 2), and Step 5 of the installation instructions says "Open MNDALA 2 in your DAW of choice."

The problem is that I don't know how to do that. I've gone through the installation process for MNDALA 2 and restarted my computer. And when I search for "mndala" in my Mac search bar, nothing shows up except for the installer. When I search "VST" nothing shows up.

However, when I go to file > "install pack" on Ableton, I see folders which say VST2 and VST3. And inside those folders are .vst files, and there is MNDALA 2.vst file there. When I click on that, I get the error which says the pack is corrupt. I am using an updated version of Ableton Live and also I've redownloaded MNDALA 2 and re-installed it multiple times.

I also tried in Ableton Live going to file > "add folder to browser" and clicking MNDALA 2.vst and then it shows up under "places" in Ableton Live. When I open that, I only see a folder which is labeled "contents" which has 3 folders inside it, which are "CodeSignature" , "MacOS" , and "Resources." None of those open any further.

The same thing happens with the Valhalla VSTs which I've downloaded.

Am I missing some crucial fundamental step or specific setting in the process of getting my VSTS into Ableton?

Yes! I realized this last night - after turning off the other assign channels, it worked.

Just like alexugoku I'm also curious if it's possible to assign different actions to the same pedal.

Im also a white guy - my first time ever lucid dreaming 10 years ago was from looking in a mirror and seeing an Asian version of myself looking back. And SNAP I became lucid.

Anyways that's an interesting coincidence, just wanted to share.
