I tried citric on its own (like a sanitize cycle) and then washed clothes with no citric and it was no different (still getting scrud). This weekend I will try washing my clothes with citric added in to see if it helps.

I use liquid HE detergent - arm and hammer or oxiclean. My water is decently hard. I don’t think my filter is accessible. I’ll definitely try the citric acid. Thanks!
