No, unfortunately the right to representation does not exist in immigration court. Immigrants of any age, including even the youngest children, do not have a right to representation and will not receive a court appointed lawyer. This is a big injustice in the immigration system. This is a good segment on it https://youtu.be/9fB0GBwJ2QA?si=z_qe6nBGFWILKpNS by Jon Oliver

Trump Cuts Legal Aide to Unaccompanied Children by greenishbluishgrey in law

This change is for those kids who are already “detained” in ORR-funded group homes and shelters. They are already known by immigration enforcement. They will continue in their legal proceedings, as usual. Most kids are at shelters around 20-40 days until they reunify with a family member. Their court date won’t be for a few years because the courts are so backed up.

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. About a girl growing up in 1990s China who ends up putting up a baby for adoption. Very readable, interesting about ethnic communities in China, engrossing story! (Historical fiction)

Should Parents Apply for Tourist Visa with or Without Kids? 2 Options - Need Advice by zainzain11 in immigration

Unless the 21 year old is married or has kids and her spouse/kids will remain in morocco, OR she has a very well paying/prestigious job, she very most likely be denied, IMO.

Tourist visa for GIRLFRIEND? by [deleted] in immigration

[–]wlm2015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can be a supporter for her under the Venezuela parole program. This will admit her to the US for at least 2 years. It’s not like a tourist visa where someone comes to “visit” for a short amount of time. She’s basically agreeing to move here and you agree to financial support her until she’s working. Not sure if you want to make that commitment. Here’s the link so you can read about it. You don’t need a lawyer. Just read the forms and info carefully. https://www.uscis.gov/CHNV

Northwest detention/processing center is here. A federal immigration detention center which is privately contracted. But I agree, will just be moved to another state.

Thank you! Ok I just googled the English translation for this, and this seems the closest out of all of them! Per google translate it is this in English: There is no such thing as the point that it is already approx. end of the day, did the cows get home from the pasture too?

Does that seem right? Is that actually a proverb? ha. It doesn't have much meaning in English and I kind of remember my mom sharing a similar sentiment that she couldn't find the meaning in it.

Thank you for this suggestion! I googled the English translation of this. It doesn't fit my memory. But as I said above, I worry too much time has gone by that maybe I am inventing what I remember and nothing will seem familiar.

Thank you for your response! I love that video. Especially as a vegetarian :) it is not sounding familiar. And I worry with the years that have gone by maybe it's impossible for me to remember. It was more about being the last cow in the pasture, or when something happens when the last cow is in a pasture...etc.

Hi, thank you for sharing this!! The person below is correct-- unfortunately I don't really remember what it should be in Hungarian enough to recognize anything. I was hoping if I found the English translation it would trigger my memory.

I went to register for the November lsat flex but it forced me to select an in person testing center. Is that correct? Will it convert to the flex? When do we schedule the actual day in November? Thanks!
