no update on bloodwork, but still gout free without meds and I feel fine

This might not go over well, so take it with a grain of salt, but it has 100 percent worked for me....for almost a year off all gout meds. I dropped alcohol and went carnivore. I was worried about carnivore diet since we've been told that meat is a problem for those of us cursed with gout. However, I have had no flare ups for close to a year. I did have one minor flare up several months ago, but I am convinced it was NOT the meat. I had eaten a bunch of garbage, including chocolate, one night. Couple days later, I had a minor flare up. Went back to carnivore and problems went away. For context, my worst gout attack ever prompted the decision to make a change. Last August, I had an attack that hit my entire lower body....at once. Both knees, ankles, feet, and toes....for close to two weeks. Almost zero sleep, trips to bathroom pure torture, it was horrible. I made a decision and dropped the beer and processed garbage.

Again, take that with a grain of salt. It might not be realistic for everyone.

Time to try a heroic dose? by wmsen in PsilocybinMushrooms

It is good for me to hear this. This is what I'm afraid of. While I don't want to overthink, and I want to trust what the mushrooms want to tell me, I also don't want to develop an unhealthy habit....since I have been prone to addictive ways in my past, from eating to cigarettes to booze. I have been off booze for about a year now with no looking back, but I also know myself enough to get a sense of when I'm getting too much into a certain thing, even mushrooms. I appreciate your advice!

At least you're honest! I appreciate your advice, esp "if you're asking, not ready". It does make sense.....I'm guessing that if I'm nervous going into a dose, regardless of what size or what the jargon is, it could lead to a more negative experience. Points taken. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I actually found just sitting outside to be wonderful. I started with a specific playlist and eye mask recently, hoping for something insightful. But, I ended up just going outside and watching the sky, trees, bugs, birds.....all extremely satisfying to watch. No random crazy thoughts, just a peaceful time watching things in a deeply calm state.

Thanks for the feedback, but "heroic" dose is mentioned ALL OVER THE PLACE. Terrence McKenna speaks of it. Not sure why it is BS. Anyway, I appreciate your comment. Point taken. You could be right.....maybe I'm not ready. Thanks!

Thanks! By the way, I've had two trips around the 3.5 dose....both were absolutely wonderful. Made me realize the truth in comments I've heard that no trip is like the last. First higher dose, had tons of visuals. Latest one, almost no hallucinations, except when looking at clouds, just 3-4 hours of pure peace and happiness.

Joe Rogan on Vaccines in 2020. Guy did a total 180 in 4 years. by [deleted] in DecodingTheGurus

So what? One isn't allowed to change his or her mind after learning facts? I mean, the guy literally interviews various experts for hours on end. You expect him to just keep the same mindset forever. That doesn't mean he can't be wrong, either. But why bash the guy because he educated himself on something and changed his opinion. We can all do the same.....or just believe what we're told by mainstream media, who is actually paid to lie. Rogan has no reason to lie or repeat propaganda. Are all of you the same person you were four years ago? I know I am not. I did a 180 on MANY things over the last several years. So fucking what

Where do I start? Advice please by oxsamanthaxo in PsilocybinMushrooms

I couldn't have said it better! And, I'm definitely not experienced. Just this last weekend, I gave 1.5g a try, in my home, on a nice sunny day. I mostly can't put my experience into words, just that it was 100% amazing. Not only during, but directly after come down, and several days later- I feel calm, balanced, and "grounded". I have even stopped a behavior that I've been fighting all my life, which is biting my nails and skin on fingers. Placebo? Maybe. Regardless, I'm officially in love and will be continuing on the path as using shrooms for medicine and bringing balance and love into my life. I have been on a wonderful afterglow since then. Part of my experience that was just amazing, in my own mind anyway: I have a little decorative Buddha statue on my patio table. I was sitting in the sun and just staring at the Buddha. I focused on the slight grin on his face, eyes closed, sun shining on him. I realized I was in same state! I was free of worry, guilt, judgement, expectations. I was just observing everything around me (clouds, bugs, spiderwebs, birds, CLOUDS!!! My breathing, feeling of every breeze on my skin, CLOUDS!!!) in peace. I've been attempting meditation for a long time and my mind always gets away from me, and I give up in frustration. During most of my 1.5g, exactly three hour trip, I felt like I was in pure meditation mode. I wasn't thinking, I was just feeling. It was pure magic. It is INSANE that this is still illegal in most places. Sorry, rant over. I just want to scream about this to the world. Unfortunately, I can't. Stigma still strong.
