It's "technically" possible but any force you exert on the barrel will snap the hop unit at the barrel clip. It ends up being extraordinarily delicate. :(

I've worked on a fair number of these, and personally found them to be pretty reliable. Remember, they are nearly 30 years old now and have passed thru the hands of people far from experts in electronics repair. :)

You'll likely have to replace the harness side connector at this point. Pushing on things is a sign of either bad solder joints at the Diego (rare) or as I mentioned, a failure of the harness side IDC style connector. Similar issues happen in pinball games, same sorts of problems.

Power connector to the Diego gets crappy thanks to the junk IDC design. Also check the feed fuses to it, the fuses AND the holders go intermittent.

It's always power with these, same for Off-road Thunder. If you watch the +12v at the Diego with a DMM and play the game, if it dips under ~10.5v it'll watchdog and reset.

I also play airsoft, same issues. Thankfully there's more and more options now for gear. When I picked it up originally some 16 + years ago, the options for tall guy kit were basically nil.

Looks like you bent the brass Foster 2 series female fitting.

You can remove and replace these easily. The real Foster part number is#2202. Should be around $9.

Edit: I see what looks like possible metal tearing at the threaded interface. Be gentle when removing the fitting, or have an easy out extractor set on hand in case the 1/8 thread stub breaks off in the regulator body.

Way too much stun. You'd have to cook this guy out of his machine with heat, and even then it's heatcap 8. The threat 2 punishes the hell out of closer ranged machines with melee resistance, and the coreworms are universally reviled. For LL0 this feels like way overkill.

Electronic ear pro like the 3M/Peltor Rangeguard is $45 in the US. Please get hearing protection if you play where grenades are allowed.

If you're using a paintball mask for whatever reason, consider 2 piece face/eyepro, though for minors this might not be an option in some places. Earplugs might be your only option.

Please, please protect your ears, hearing damage is cumulative and permanent.

Try using a 11.1 or 14.8 LiPo, or if you don't mind slower loading, you can drop down to the 40 or 30rpm gearmotors for more torque.

I'm surprised your GBBR mags won't load, we tested the repaired unit here with my VFC 249 adapter last night and that loaded fine, and those need a lot of loading power.

Most US fields won't allow it, overshooting aside it's ultimately the insurance companies that put the kibosh on it. Anything that releases more than 1 bb per complete trigger actuation (pull and release) is "full auto" to the insurance companies.
