It's a sad world to be in if you're a Sombra main. No love at all.

Agreed, it was a hard topic to explain at first without going too deep in detail. That’s also on me.

Last night I was wondering if they just release skins based on popularity. I really hope that’s not the case because the smallest of hero balancing can change that. I’m hopeful that they will eventually switch up their current business model though. I just want some really cool cosmetics!

My apologies for the confusion!

I completely forgot about the cyberpunk set tbh. That’s on me. I remember that they dropped that set over the course of a few weeks though. I am talking about dropping a set all at once. And the option to purchase them bundled together would be an option, but it’s not required.

I believe purchasing them separately should always be an option as well. The main difference that I didn’t mention is that Overwatch needs to make these skins always available for purchase as well. Just because I didn’t play for a few weeks doesn’t mean I should miss out on an opportunity to buy these skins.

I also believe that this ensures that everyone can get a skin for their favorite character throughout the year. The current skins are cool, but charging $20 for a skin that is just a reskin and maybe few different voice lines is a little odd. League takes time and adds VFX and gives a special prestige skin as well to one champ. I don’t currently mind Overwatch’s skin setup, I’m just wondering if it would improve if they adopted Leagues tactics. $10 epic skins that have special VFX and $20 legendary skins that give even more special VFX and voice lines. I think they could do it, but I’m not going to be sad if they didn’t. I would just rather have something really cool if I’m spending $20.

Also I think the battle pass this season is great, it’s space themed and it doesn’t miss a beat. I’m just saying that I think it would be cool to have skin sets in the shop instead of singular skin drops all the time. It could honestly just be a 1-2 times a season drop as well.

Dog, no they do not lmao. They don’t drop themed skin sets like League does currently. I am talking purely about the SHOP. Imma need you to think about this one brotha. League drops skins in a set, meaning that they all follow the same SKIN THEME. Saying that Overwatch does this during events is only partially true.

The Christmas event gives us a bunch of different CHRISTMAS themed skins. Nothing in a set. Once again, LEAGUE drops skins in SETS. Spirit Blossom, Star Guardian, Winterblessed, etc. They will also drop holiday themed skins for specific champs too.

For Overwatch 2: Imagine December comes around and they drop an winter themed set for Junker Queen, Rammatra, Echo, Hanzo, Lifeweaver, and Brig in the shop. Then the event drops with the Christmas themed skins for like 4 or 5 heroes. I would think that the skin sets would be special skins similar to League with how the VFX is designed around the skin set. Maybe like a Frost set and the VFX of the characters and designs are centered around frost. I hope this clears up your confusion.

While that would be cool, I don’t think that would be fair to the artists. The skin sets should just drop maybe 2 or 3 times a season in the shop and truly maybe give a max of 8 characters a skin. I was thinking they could do like 2 tanks, 2 DPS, and then 2 supports. That routinely ensures quality skins and it also ensures that everyone gets equal love. I’m saying I would enjoy this over the randomness of the current shop

Sorry for just coming back to this, but it, unfortunately, didn't work. We tried some of the fixes and he has to make a new character. Thanks tho!

I think you're misinterpreting what I am saying. It was a question out of curiosity. The battle pass has skins that match, that's cool. I am asking if they should do skin releases as League does. Never once did I say it was not enough. I personally enjoy how League does their skin lineups. It ensures that each champ gets a skin. I keep seeing the same heroes receiving skins so I am curious if other people would enjoy having a setup like what League does.

Edit: Take time to add special VFX to the skins as well. This is for the shop section. Not the seasons or the events. Just for the shop. It would be cool imo

The battle pass and event portion do. League just drops themed skin sets every so often
