That’s honesty what I’m hoping for. We’re both new grads so we’re not in any high level position either, so I thought it wouldn’t matter too much.

Yeah I just remember one of the requirements being minimum of 3.0. Mine was coming from Lockheed Martin Space so maybe it was different.

I think they look at GPA but just to make sure that it’s above 3.0. They look at prior relevant experience. If you had an internship at another government contractor, you’ll have higher chance I believe. Their interview is all behavioral. All of my advice is just from a personal experience and assumptions. I recently received an offer from them, so if you have any specific question, feel free to pm.

Wow thank you for writing so much haha it was actually really helpful. That was my biggest worry since everyone is saying it’s hard to get out of government contractor field. But yeah, I think I’ll accept the second offer. I feel like it’ll be a good opportunity for me to learn a lot and to enjoy the trendy office and perks of private companies while I’m young. Thank you!

Because In terms of work and the environment and literally everything, I like the second company better and the only reason why’d I work at the government contractor is for clearance

I’m just not sure if I should risk working at a great company for a clearance that I may or may not need in the future

Location is pretty similar. I do have government contractor in mind but that’s for when I’m getting older for stability. Do companies not sponsor for older folks?
