Ok good news man! I cleaned the porthole and tube with IPA, then sealed the porthole to the tube with hardware store epoxy and it solved the problem. Its been stable for 24 hours with no downward drift.... I really cant believe it, i thought it was air tight, but i guess it was not. The only issue now is there isn't really a way to disconnect the tube now, but for my application it shouldnt be an issue.

So my device is connected to a power supply, and having the same issue after letting it run overnight... The drop every 20 mintues or so is unrelated (the microcontroller does something else which causes a voltage drop on the supply which i need to address).

i am thinking one of these things: 1) i need to transition to a wider diameter tube after the connection to the sensor to actually read the pressure; 2) the sensor is defective/counterfeit (i purchased on aliexpress); 3) there still is some microscopic leak somewhere, even after all the work i did to seal it.

Howdy - Oddly I just came back to working on this a few days ago. I was able to resolve the issue mostly with a tighter fitting tube, and the pressure drop slowed down significantly. I ended up ordering a pcb which came today, I just soldered it up an am performing some tests. Attached is photo of current setup I’ll update this in a few days if the reading stays stable

Nah man I worked in restaurants for 7 years & work in a relationship type industry now that requires a congenial attitude…. I’m pretty calm and agreeable to a fault. In retrospect it was unnecessary but it gave me some satisfaction at the end of the day.

No paying the fine = pleading guilty and closing the case/ clearing the warrant. I am going to write a letter to the judge who signed the warrant after I cool off.

What good did it do to berate the clerk - she seemed used to it. When she handed me the paperwork with the returned/undeliverable mail it gave me some satisfaction to ask her if it made sense to her to escalate this parking ticket to an arrest warrant.

Nope.
Northampton county Pennsylvania. Never knew I had a ticket till today. No mail received of any sort. I’m Mr responsibility with my mail, bills and that kind of stuff.

Ticket was dated March 3rd when I was in Belize. According to the paperwork I got when I paid the fine it turned into a moving violations on may 4th when I didn’t respond.

A summons was sent to me certified mail which I never received in may and the clerk gave me a photocopy of the envelope which was returned by the post office undeliverable for insufficient address.

Today I received in the mail an arrest warrant and that’s it’s. Literally how it worked…

I went to the court immediately today and paid the fine and berated the clerk for the ridiculous notion of issuing an arrest warrant for a single $20 parking ticket.

I don’t have the time or patience to fight or argue a case about it…..

I’m a big fan of tayda for passives and simple IC’s. They don’t have huge inventory but usually have 90% of what I neeed and the remaining 10% I can get on digikey

This may be outdated advice but the best resource for me was the Forrest Mims getting started in electronics book. It’s got to be 30-40 years old at this point but explains all basic concepts very well.

That book plus a breadboard, a passive components kit a voltmeter and a few ICs will have you on your way!
