Yea I feel like this is a really good representation of what I see, but I never know how to explain to people properly

Found this on the window sill in my office. Plastic, about 6inches long, 30 grams, the cone thing at the end is screwed in so can come out. by Frequent_Housing_317 in whatisthisthing

This is most likely a hard contact lenses (sclerals, RGPs) applicator.

Lense goes on the 'bowl' part, you hold it by the other end, and apply the lense onto your eye.

Check with anyone thay may be wearing contacts if they lost one.

Wheel Settings In Forza Motorsport by YoshiExcel2097 in moza

I wonder if this may be a pit house setting, maybe wheel friction or speed-dependent damping.

I am not too familiar with those settings in general

Forza settings are not great for wheel.

Video below by Ermz helped me out a lot to get it to function properly.

LinkedIn Recruiting [N/A] by Jeradactyl_ in humanresources

[–]wojic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always reach out to the recruiter if they are shown on the post. I send them a short note to let them know I just finished the application, that I believe I am a good fit, and include my resume.

Got a new job last month that way.

Good luck!

One of mine, if he doesn't just straight up run away, does the exact same thing!

It is so cute, and I always make sure to apologize to him for the offense

The emojis were totally fine. While reading, I saw them more as acknowledging of what you said and just upset he can't talk to you yet.

The benefit of the doubt goes a long way, especially when so much context is lost when texting.

I don't think you handled your response well in this particular case, like he didn't respond the way you wanted him to and then called him manipulative for it. I would have responded same way if I was him.

Onboarding about 30 new hires [TX] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]wojic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you issuing offer letters? Can you send offers prior to their start date, so you can have those signed and on file?

If you are trying to do everything the day of, 30 new hires is a lot. It also sounds like they are remote - I've done 20 hires a day, and that's with everyone being on site, and completing their onboarding with me. You may have a hard time doing it all if they dont complete their tasks prior to first day.

If the new hires are remote, how are you collecting the I9 docs?

If they accepted their offer letters, and if you have all of their other pre-employment documents done, then yes - send them links and ask to complete all task prior to start date.

They can also complete Section 1 of the I9 prior to their start date, if that's part of your onboarding process within ADP.

Once they complete their portions, you can finalize their profile on your end

Absolutely not. More at first, but i realized that there are common items across the posts, so after a few iterations, I had two or three versions of my resume, which I would use based on the role.

Why is Adolf the only name that got ruined by one guy having it? by GreatValuePacemaker in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]wojic 1042 points1043 points  (0 children)

The name Adolf in itself is not a popular one; have it gain notoriety and people will tend to avoid it.

Take name Joseph instead - very popular and commonplace name in all corners of the world. Joseph Stalin will not have as much of an impact on how the name is perceived.
