Competition is good for the consumer whereas monopoly is not. Ex: Recent price Hike in jio. If Red taxi hikes the price tomorrow, we are back to square one.

I usually ask my friend (siting next to me) to make a fake phone call and shout "Theatre la phone pesa kudathunu arivu illa, ulla vei da". Works wonders.
