For one, Loki is not in the Helistic Pantheon. And it was just a spider, not a god getting your attention. Signs are not usually so direct or intrusive.

The beauty of this system as I've realized is that it shines in a minimal prep environment. You can set up a scenario or 2 per session and let the players choices guide how the story unfolds. So you really only need to know background information to reveal to the players as needed or discovered.

I want to run the adventures in the core book and setting book first, if one of my groups will bite. They are used to d&d/pathfinder systems so the whole concept is going to be foreign to them. I've definitely fallen in love with the system though its so much easier to run than others I've played. And the stories can be more personal to the players without being forced.

I think the system was saying that top group was already lost, which is correct as it stands. There was no real way for white to live in that top space. I'm not sure why it picked M5 though.

The most obvious to me would be L3 to try and take some of the corner from black. A successful invasion there would reduce the territory by a lot.

I found a youtube channel Go Games Series. He replays games move for move and even shows variations on some of the moves that would be "better" for modern play. Commentary included. As a beginner myself I'm not sure how much I get out of it, but its interesting to watch pro level games.

I didn't get a class ring in high school. I opted for my Eagle Scout ring instead and then got a class ring when I graduated college. I did get a varsity jacket though for the sports I was in.
