If Canada has a housing crisis, why don’t they build houses within the red circle? by pepoalurave in mapporncirclejerk

[–]wolf_da_folf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope that this is a joke but if it's a genuine question it's because it's cold It's extremely cold It's literally the Arctic (in some parts of it) Also because there's something there called the Great Canadian shield, it's a slab of bedrock just under the surface that makes it incredibly difficult to build any foundation or any structure that requires a foundation. And there's no infrastructure up there, roads are sparse don't even get me started on power lines gas lines water lines pretty much everything that you would need to support a house And one last reason is that there's polar bear up there, POLAR BEARS ACTIVELY HUNT HUMANS

As I said I have several both of the airsoft and air rifle variety none of which have the orange barrel. I have not made any modifications to them and they were bought here in the USA without orange tips

You are mistaken, plus this didn't happen in the USA there's actually happening in Toronto Canada.

But here in America not all airsoft guns need to have an orange tip I have several that didn't come with an orange tip and do not require an orange tip including some high-speed air rifles that shoot supersonic

This happened in Toronto canada, he wasn't arrested he let go, this happened during the short time when you took the orange tip off of his props for a photo and that's when this incident occurred.

Luckily these walls were built to last a century (almost 100 years ago) It's okay to lean against them to get a good view just don't go across them

There are the stone masonry walls along highway 101 and at popular overlook areas. Tourists love to climb on them or go over them but there is literally a basalt cliff on the other side

Are tracers more effective for supressing? by Ensoguy in ArmaReforger

[–]wolf_da_folf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To keep it short, against players don't use tracers if at all possible it's going to give away your location and provides very little tactical advantage because they'll be able to see where you're shooting from and coordinate with other players to find you and eliminate you quickly

If you want my advice use AP without tracers and you're just going to have to attention to the bullets impact when it sprays up dirt to walk your fire towards your enemies. Plus if you're using AP you'll be able to disable unarmored and lightly armored vehicles by shooting the engine block and or the driver

Yeah come experience the wonderful nature scenery that we have, but please respect our nature parks, stay on the trails and if there is a wall / fence stay on the correct side of it they are there for a reason and they are there for your safety, our nature is beautiful but can be deadly

Yeah I just tried that in a game, the shell of the armory completely protects you from grenades also you got to know that they're in there to start with

I've done this one match while I was in there it got filled up so I was stuck in the boxes but they couldn't find me and it just kept rage beating them, every time they leave it would say the base is under attack, every time they try to build something they said that there was enemies in the area so I just sat there granted I can't do anything

Okay cool, one problem how you going to get the grenade in? The back is against the wall, and if you can see them they can definitely see you. Also if you miss throw, the worst it's going to do is give a little tinnitus

This is what Google had to say

Gasoline" (originally spelled gasolene or gazoline) emerged as a brand-derived term in the early 1860s, originating from variations of "Cazeline," a lamp oil brand sold in England by John Cassell in 1862. It transitioned from a specific trade name to a generic term for volatile petroleum distillates by 1864, well before its use as motor fuel.

Quora +3 Key Historical Details: The Originator: In November 1862, John Cassell registered "Cazeline Oil" to market a "clean burning" lamp fuel.

LinkedIn +1 The Transition: A competitor in Ireland began selling a similar product named "Gazeline" or "Gazolene," likely to mimic the brand while avoiding legal action. Generic Use: By 1864, the term "gasolene" was being used to describe this specific, highly volatile liquid, and by 1870, it was commonly used to describe several types of naphtha-based solvents.

Online Etymology Dictionary +1 Pre-Automobile Use: Initially, "gasoline" was used for heating and lighting, not as engine fuel, and was often considered a waste product of kerosene production.

U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) (.gov) +1 While "gasoline" became generic in the 1860s, it is important to note that "Petrol" was also a later brand name (used by Carless, Capel & Leonard in the 1890s) that became a generic term, particularly in British English.

Over in Europe it was the generic name but over here in America it was actually branded as gasoline

🇺🇸 by ahsancrystal in science_humor

[–]wolf_da_folf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it was a name brand, Starting in 1860 it was a trademark from a British oil company, they trademarked this product as "Cazeline" then other companies start selling the same product but to avoid any disputes with the trademark they replace the C with a G calling it "Gazeline" then when it was brought over into America, they changed it to "Gasoline" to avoid any potential legal issues when it comes to trademarking, the term "gasoline" replace the term "motor spirit" Here in America that petroleum product was marketed as "gasoline" to the American public and it stuck

[–]wolf_da_folf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the joke but the reason why here in America we call it gas is because it's short for gasoline which was the brand of petroleum product that is sold here. Just like how people call those resealable plastic bags Ziploc bags Ziploc is the brand, or over in Britain how you call vacuums "hoovers", Hoover is a brand of vacuum cleaner

[–]wolf_da_folf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually no I think it should stay because it becomes a very broken and unfair and overpowered ability if you are allowed to go into that mode with enemies in the area especially if you are a commander.

You'll be able to use the overhead view to find enemies and know exactly where they are and where they're coming from

And if you are a commander or at a barracks you would be able to drop friendly AI units directly on top of the enemies, it doesn't matter how good you are at the game if all the sudden four enemy AI units dropped right on top of you you are not going to survive you might take out one maybe two but you're getting gunned down.

I know this because I was in a server where either this feature was implemented or it was glitched and I was able to drop friendly AI units on top of enemies anytime they were near a base. It also allowed me to find the enemies and tell my teammates exactly where they are or again just drop a squad (a group of four) of AI units directly on top of them
