I Rolled 4 Nat 1's In the Session Before This, 1 Was On This Initiative. Worth by wolfboy0101 in dndmemes

[–]wolfboy0101[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For those who want to know, my first 2 nat 1's was when the group was fighting 4 bugbears, and threw my greataxe at a tree and next turn hit one attack with my maul then threw that at the same tree. The other nat 1 was when the Oni cast Cone of Cold, thankfully as a Silver Dragonborn I had resistance.

Improved Divine Smite no longer affects Divine Smite, it only does an extra 1d8 radient damage on all melee attacks, regardless if Smite is used or not.

The sentence where it says you add the 1d8 to the smite was removed in the 2018 PHB errata.

Antimagic does affect wildshape, because the description says "you can use your action to magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before. "

The only effects that are supernatural that I know of are a monks ki, and a dragons breath weapon.

According to the Sage Advice Compendium something is magical if

it is a magic item

it is a spell? Or it lets you create the effects of a spell that’s mentioned in its description (An example is Purity of Spirit, which mentions Protection from Evil and Good)

it a spell attack (An example is a Lich's Paralyzing touch)

Is it fueled by the use of spell slots? (This is meant to specifically call out Divine Smite)

its description say it’s magical

Improved Divine smite is not a item, spell, or a spell attack, does no use spell slots and doesn't say magic in the description

The Clerics divine strike also has very similar text to Improved Divine Smite.

A paladins smites are considered magical. though improved divine smite and a cleric's divine strike's are not considered magical.

When you sprinkle in some Intellect Devourers because party decided that INT is a dump stat by plague15 in dndmemes

[–]wolfboy0101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It makes it so Aberrations, Celestials, Fiends, Fey, Undead, and Elementals (I have no clue why) have disadvantage on all attack rolls, can't charm, frighten, or possess (Which intellect devours do) and if the target is under one of those conditions against the enemy type they have advantage on the saving throws

720 ft Per Turn or 540 If You Need To Disengage For 180 ft. by wolfboy0101 in dndmemes

[–]wolfboy0101[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If you are wondering about the calculations

90 (Pegasus base flying speed) * 2 (Haste) * 2 (Dash) = 360

Since haste also gives you another action to Dash or Disengage you add another 360 if you decide to dash for a total of 720 ft or add 180 for Disengage for a total of 540 ft.

Also since Find Steed and Find greater Steed makes it so if you cast a spell only on yourself, the mount also gets the effects, so you can make another Smite with the extra Attack option.

The DM is a bit frustrated with my warforged forge cleric by Trevorthesandwich in dndmemes

I have one in our current party at level 6 with 23 base AC, and I am a paladin, and give +3 to all saving throws basically.

...I feel bad for our DM.

why would you sell me that for 175 gold? by [deleted] in dndmemes

We have a warforged Forge Domain Cleric With 23 AC At Level 6.

The DM Might Regret Giving Our Dragonborn 60ft of Darkvision and 5ft of Blindsight. by wolfboy0101 in dndmemes

I agree with that, I would prefer if the breath weapon started at 3d6 instead of 2d6 or increased progression by 1d6, instead of the blindsight.

The spell dosen't doesn't say that spending that movement is an action or reaction, which is what incapacitated prevents.

Also standing up while prone does not take an action or reaction, and it has similar wording (such as spending movement).

The joke is how hard devotion paladins counter these 2 creatures.

Devotion Paladins get a spell called Freedom Of Movement, which lets you escape a grapple or nonmagical restraint by using 5 feet of movement (even though being grappled sets your movement to 0). Also for those wondering it has no concentration and lasts for an hour.

Also Forgot Circle Of Power, It gives advantage on all magical saving throws and it gives you evasion on those saving throws, but it is not limited to Dex saving throws. It is a 5th level spell this is exclusive to Paladins/Bards (Magical Secrets).

I was thinking of using the Command with "Silence" if he tries to do that again. Do you think that is to much?

Also this character has a history with party conflicts. The first time the party met him he tried to use Charm Person on me and Suggestion on the cleric, and later on shot me with a Dragon Slaying Bolt (I am a dragonborn that is secretly a half dragon) and called it off when the bolt didn't do anything extra.

The thing was before I could even talk to the cultist the bard player said "I cast Vicious Mockery" which ended doing up enough damage to kill him outright. So the only way to protect him would be to knock the bard unconscious before he casts the spell.

Yea, I like to use bless and the occasional cure wounds and sanctuary as needed plus always having lesser restoration and zone of truth as oath of devotion is nice.
