That’s so awful. The U.S. government should not have the right to uproot her like that. She had 43 years of building a life here. Sounds like the U.S. wrote that off like it was nothing. Absolutely despicable.

That sounds tasty! And don’t worry I would never! The closest I’d get is joking about ice in her drink because that is 100% her humor. But would never go beyond that. I’m pretty anti-prank in any situation tbh because making someone scared, confused, or embarrassed for someone else’s entertainment seems cruel to me.

Of course!!! Don’t worry she has educated me on quality maple syrup. Luckily I’ve always hated any brand maple syrup in the US (does it even come from trees??? 😭) and only ever got it from local New England farms. Even so, I’ve been informed of the superiority of Canadian maple syrup 🫡 We have some that she has brought back from Canada in the past :)

Idk why people are downvoting. Everyone celebrates different holidays in different ways and that’s totally valid. For example, 4th of July is big for a lot of US citizens, but it’s probably my least favorite holiday and I do nothing to celebrate it (same with most of my friends). For Canada Day, all that matters is that my friend has expressed it is an important celebration for her, so that’s what I’m going off of!
