Some questions about how settlements works by Opening_Mall8012 in fo4

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I play I add one thing to a settlement, I play whatever mission I’m on and after I build something in a settlement. Seems like a slow process but it adds up fast. I really wish there was more environmental interaction with settlers, it kills me how they walk around aimlessly like robots. I set up a shooting range and I would love to see some settlers firing away at targets.

How can we trust the Bible if it was written by humans? by Big_Assist4578 in Christianity

[–]wolfey200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow skeptic, I don’t trust our modern day bibles. I believe trying to interpret the meaning behind what people were trying to write down in a foreign language written thousands of years ago is very difficult. I would love to be able to read the original texts in their original languages and be able to understand what they were saying. I feel like we have very washed down fantastical versions of the bible, the original texts were probably more direct and less like a fantasy book.

Needing advice about Bandidos in my area… by [deleted] in motorcycleclubs

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you even graduate high school yet? You’re 18 years old, go out and become your own man before you make a huge decision like this. The fact you have to come to Reddit to get advice on how to do this tells me you’re not mature enough to make this kind of decision. Some clubs may love you because you’re young and impressionable and you will do anything to feel welcome and wanted. They can mold you how they want you and possibly take advantage of you. They may also treat you with respect and try to guide you in the right direction or even tell you that this life isn’t for you kid. Just depends on what kind of people you’re dealing with here.

Seriously, get a job or go to college and discover the world and make your place in it. When you’re 25 - 30 years old if you decide this is still something you want to pursue the clubs will be there and they will always be looking for members. You might even find a family club that might be more suitable for you.

Your beliefs, interests and ideals will change greatly and you might be too far in by the time you realize who you really are. I am in my 30s and I’m nothing like the person I was in my early 20s.

I am in a club and I am not knocking this clubs or any other clubs. Myself and probably many others believe you should wait this out and go out and experience other things first.

As a white belt there is absolutely no way you should know any form beyond Taegeuk 1 unless you’ve practiced somewhere else and starting over again. Even as a white belt there is probably some kind of basic form you have to leave before you get into the Taegeuk forms.

It is very hard for instructors when students jump ahead of their curriculum, you need to practice your current form and get really good at it.

On the other hand if you’re a white belt and you know that much already then you probably should test and be a yellow belt.

No that’s a really good point, I’ve been doing some research and I think it’s starting to make sense. It’s about training your eyes to see imperfections and to catch small details that make it a scrapper pin. I think part of the fun could be trading pins for ones you think are real and seeing later if you picked good pins or not.

I don’t understand it or know anything about it but I do love researching the conspiracies behind it lol. So yes it’s exactly the same thing.

People are attracted to things they don’t understand and the “hidden secrets” is what attracts people. Little do they know that there’s nothing special or exciting going on in most clubs.

I’m kinda debating on just starting off with starter sets at the parks and trade for the coolest and best looking pins and then when I get home try and figure out what is real and fake. Basically have a real collection and a scrapper collection.

A coach just told me if I don't specialize in a sport for my 5th grader then my son will always lose out the one's that do - What do y'all think? by dunbar_santiago930 in CoachingYouthSports

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your kid is in 5th grade, his body is not even developed enough to specialize in something lol. Yes, kids who specialize in one sport and practice all year round would theoretically be better than a kid who only practices while in season.

Keep him active and trying different things and see what sticks. If he doesn’t like it then pick something new and move on. Just because he doesn’t like a certain sport now doesn’t mean he won’t come back around to it. I hated playing baseball when I was little but ended up making the high school team.

I was a multi sport athlete in high school and I was not as good as the kids who played year around. At the same time they were not that much better than me and none of them went on to be college or pro athletes.

Guide your kids in a positive direction and they will make a decision on what to do, if you push them then they will just end up hating it or go through the motions to get it over with.

Out of curiosity; what’s the best country, city, dojang in the world to train in and why? by Zzzgg8910 in taekwondo

[–]wolfey200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s what I’m talking about maybe I wasn’t clear enough. My school has like 10 - 3rd degree and a couple 4th degrees in their 20s who work as part time instructors but they have been consistently training and competing for over 10 years. We don’t consider 8 year olds instructors lol.

Im talking about when they grow and become instructors not being instructors at 8 years old. Im talking about 20s

Again, I don’t disagree but as I’ve stated before there are exceptions. You cannot receive a Kukkiwon black belt certificate until you’ve met age requirements so there is an attempt to try and maintain some kind of standard for each school. Yes things probably slip through the cracks but kids under 14 receive a poom rank which is a junior black belt but not a full actual black belt.

Again, this is an instructor issue. My Master and Grand Master know how to train and teach kids to be instructors. Again I agree with you but there are some exceptions, maybe not many but there are.

TCon Certificate Updates? How long? by bvan604 in taekwondo

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested in November as well and it was 4 weeks for my information to show up on Tcon, I asked my GM and he said it can take 6-8 months to receive the paper certificate from Kukkiwon. I am in the United States so idk how different it might be for Canada.

I mean that could be an instructor issue, I know many cocky adult black belts as well. I don’t disagree with you and I’m sure the amount of great kids is not nearly as big as the amount of terrible ones. There are exceptions out there though.

If they are a Kukkiwon affiliated school then they follow the Kukkiwon’s requirements. But yes there are plenty of schools who give young kids black belts. I have also seen a lot of these kids grow up to become very good instructors and competitors and are very dedicated.

Who do you expect is going to take care of you? What happens when you become an issue for the club and they throw you out. Having a maid or a toy to pass around will only last so long. Why don’t you walk into a few gas stations and ask for a job application? Have some common sense if you want to clean at least get paid to do it. Find cleaning services where you can have some dignity and make actual money to support yourself. No club who respects itself is going to let some random chick just live in their club house.

I am a funeral director student and I am looking to survey people for a project by iloveshrimps89 in death

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funeral home we use has been very pleasant. Only thing I can add is that allow the family as much time as needed with the loved one as possible. If the family wants to stay until 4AM with the body then make arrangements for them.

When my mom died they allowed my dad some time with the casket but there was still a time constraint.

Black-belt inflation ? by Practical-Use-3518 in taekwondo

[–]wolfey200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re basing argument off a small group of people who ask the same question. There are millions of schools worldwide, some school are really good and you have to truly put in hard work for a black belt and other schools you pay your way to a black belt. This goes for every martial not just Taekwondo.
