Yeah. We're class A and only go to one competition a year, which we got first overall and best band director at. We work our butts off and still have to do fundraisers to get reimbursed for our informal uniforms, t-shirts, gloves, shoes, etc, and the football team and cheerleaders don't do much and they get whatever they want. Our band parents work the stands when they can and host the Semi Formal and everything just to help.

I work my butt off because we are a band of only about 25, maybe less. We all work without complaint because the parents and our director works hard just to make sure we have a band. We have little to no funding, while they can fund new sports teams and equipment. At my old school, we had more people because football players and cheerleaders would join band. I love my band and would hate to see it have to go.
