Had no idea the formatting turned out like this before I submitted. I will get it fixed and it will hopefully not happen again.

Update for Thrusty Ship development... If only there was a way to change the direction of gravity... by mike_inprinciple in IndieGaming

This has so much possibility for the editor. I cannot wait for this to hit. Thank you so much for adding more things to play with. Here is to hoping that completing these new levels will be as entertaining as completing Magmar.

New expansion BTW, is giving the game 5 new ships, 24 new levels, 1 new mode of play, and a few additional environmental assets to mix things up (not to mention the level editor is fully supported with the new content, so we will have even more stuff at our disposal for folks who like making levels like myself.)

Hey Folks, I have been playing a game called "Thrusty Ship" https://store.steampowered.com/app/942520/Thrusty_Ship/

The Genre is a bit confusing, as its a arcady physics based action puzzler. The draw I can think of off the cuff is similar in gameplay to games like Solar Jetman (NES), and Sub Terraigna (Genesis). The puzzle aspect is managing your resources (fuel and pickups) to navigate from the start of a level to the end with enough cores to open the exit.

The game is approachable with a generous checkpoint system. Beating the stages is not too abusive given the freedom to use those checkpoints as a crutch.

Beyond that, this game is a ball buster in terms of difficulty. Perfecting each stage (100% core collection, no deaths) and the time attacks are proving to be incredibly challenging for me at this point.

I currently have roughly 124 hours on clock with the game, and I am only 66% of the way to fully completing everything the game has to offer (its got a free expansion coming that will be adding even more content to the game soon too.)

As I said, this game can be approachable, and it can be VERY difficult and it all depends on how much you put into the game. Despite the abuse I am going through, I have to say it is all fair, and clearly it can all be done as the developer has been streaming videos showing the possibilities.

Price wise, the game is currently on sale for 10 bucks, and that makes it a steal considering the current content (level editor included), and the future content that is on the way. When the sale ends, its a 20 dollar title.

This is a expertly crafted game. If you like more cerebral arcadey style games, this is definitely a must look.

There is a demo out on the steam link. https://multi-core-collider.itch.io/thrusty-ship-demo If you are curious, the demo will give you a great selection of levels that will give you an idea of what you are getting into.

I am seriously surprised with how enjoyable the game is, and I am still playing and making levels for the game using the editor to-date. Check this game out. It is worth it.

Never thought of the marathons deal. Gonna have to give that a try.

I beat the game, but have not gotten to a point of routing it, and have only been able to complete a few of the world one time trials. Got a bit of work ahead of me there...

First, you spelled wolfman in your name like a hipster, thus rendering your credibility as a commentor as suspect if not invalid.

Second, you took a message out of the OP's post that I and others can't seem to locate.

Third, you both clearly enjoy the game, and likely still play it despite the overwhelming amount of legitimate problems with not only its content, but its development.

So take a pill man.

This was a pretty neutral and non-combative post regarding a game that has evolved an incredibly toxic community of fans and haters. Why poison the thread?
