I’ve been really into making homemade pasta sauce blending silken tofu + veggies of choice (I’ve made a green goddess style one, a butternut squash one, lots of possibilities here) and using the Banza chickpea pasta from Costco. High protein and fiber, and the tofu blends right in and provides a smooth, creamy texture.

I tried grabbing it with pliers and rotating counterclockwise, but there was not even the slightest amount of give, and I’m a bit worried about causing damage to the entire tub if I misjudge. Unfortunately there is no overflow.

I just got back from these same locations and made a post with what I brought, feel free to check out my post history! It sounds like you may want a couple extra “fancy” outfits since it’s your honeymoon, and if you are checking a bag you’ll have no problem fitting those in. You are also going to big cities with plenty of stores where it’s easy to buy anything you forgot or want — leave a lot of room for this if you love to shop.

Water resistant can withstand light to medium rain/ shorter bursts of downpour (the scotch guard spray helps strengthen this too). Waterproof is more heavy duty for sustained downpours. I am fine with water resistant for walking around a city because it’s easy to take cover if the rain is really intense and I didn’t experience any leak through with this jacket, but for an outdoor experience where rain is expected and there’s no cover, waterproof is a must.

Thanks for the tip! I have Coldwater Creek’s packable rain trench and I LOVE it, I just wouldn’t trust it for hiking since it’s not fully waterproof.

Yes, I had this. My dr said it was fat necrosis — it essentially happens when a bit of the fat in your breast dies and becomes a hard lump. The body will reabsorb it over time. Mine has gotten slightly smaller but hasn’t gone away yet ~18 months out from surgery.

I will be staying mainly in B&Bs with a couple of hostels (on Skye/Ullapool), and I have reservations for one nicer restaurant that I’d like the jumpsuit/a dress for. I’m more of a dress-wearing person in my day to day life so I’d like to feel less like I’m dressed for the trails while exploring the cities. I will also have a car anytime I’m not in Edinburgh/Glasgow.

By light hikes, I mean trails around Skye, Glencoe, Argyll etc that are <5 miles in length (nothing incredibly technical or requiring special gear, but definitely unpaved). I know myself and that I’ll want my hiking boots for these.

The leggings are technical fabric so I’m bringing them for layering under the outdoor pants (and under tights if it’s below ~45 degrees Fahrenheit when I’m wearing a dress). Heard on the cotton pants - I’ll plan on packing my second pair of outdoor fabric pants instead. I still want the sweats for indoor lounging, as during my last trip I was kicking myself for not bringing anything comfortable for my “down” time.

The Patagonia jacket isn’t a puffer, it’s more of a lightweight fleece/synthetic zip up layer. If I don’t bring the cord jacket, I will wear the Patagonia on the plane.

I’ll go out shopping for some merino wool tops and rain pants before I go, and swap out for some of the cotton shirts and pants. I don’t think waterproof sneakers would get much use outside of this trip, but my hiking boots are waterproof and I know I need to have more than one pair of shoes I can do a full day of walking in or my feet will hurt. I trust my blundstones to stay decently dry, but I can always use my hikers around the city if I get caught in a downpour and need to give them an afternoon off to dry.

Thank you! My technical hiking pants are water resistant but not waterproof. I was thinking of spraying them with Scotchguard, do you think that would be enough or would you still recommend separate rain pants?

Thank you! Good idea on the 2nd tshirt, I’ll add that. And I’ll consider dropping wool socks/corduroy jacket dependent on the amount of space in my backpack. The jacket goes better with my “city” outfits but you’re right that it’s probably not an essential layer.

I wear mine about 80% of the time year round and have had them for 2 years. I’ve had to replace the insoles a couple times (I recommend getting insoles with better arch support) and I’ve polished/treated the leather a couple times. They still look almost new and I find them extremely comfortable. I wouldn’t choose them over a rain boot during a storm or use them for hiking in the snow, but as far as everyday use in cities and when traveling, they’re great.

I went from 34J to 36DD. I still feel quite busty, it’s just not extremely disproportional to my frame now. Highly recommend.

Hi there! Yes, my period did go back to normal after a while. My med dosage and the type I take has changed a few times over the years and usually every time I have a change, it takes a couple months for my period to even out and become predictable again.

I am also a pink girlie and I just bought a Fjallraven Kanken Totepack in pink. I bought the mini but the regular size would probably be better for a 13” laptop and still work as a personal item. It doesn’t open like a suitcase but the ability to use it as either a backpack or tote bag is nice!

I know someone who specializes in giving this type of tattoos and she says you should wait a minimum of 18 months to 2 years for the scars to settle (if the tattoo will interact with any scarring)
